Hi guys, I have little white spots on the glans of my penis (photos below). They do not itch and aren't painful but I am not sure if other guys have those too. I checked over the internet and I don't see them on photos. The glans on the pictures I have seen seems to be smooth. Please, tell me if I should go to the doctor.

well, you should always go to the doctor, referring to the internet for health advise is kind of sketchy at best.

There used to be a thread at the top of this community that linked to a Wikipedia page about these kind of things.

It doesn't look like herpes... but I am not a doctor.

So, go see one! ..|

It is the "White Bumps on Penis" thread near the top of the community page.

if you mean the things on the RIM of the penis head (good visible in the last pic) those pearly penis papules and perfectly harmless. you should have had them at least since puperty. but in those pics the whole head of your penis looks rather "spotted" if those aren't just reflections you should get this checked out, could be some kind of funghi or similar ..

From the general appearance, I would say that are most likely pearly penile papules.

If they have been there for a while, they are probably papules which are a normal occurrence and not an infectious disease.

If they are new, then you should see your doctor and have him make the determination as to what they are.

My guess, [FONT=&quot]venereal warts. Go to the doctor or a gay medical clinic. They spread fast and if they are venereal warts, you can give then to someone else.

i have never seen ppp ON the glans, in one pic you seem them on the rim, and those are clearly ppp. but maybe i just haven't seen everything :)

I would agree with you that the presentation is atypical. The puzzling thing about the pictures is that the lesions are not limited to the corona but are distributed across the glans. But they appear to be fibrous, non-erythematous, not bleeding micropapules which is more typical of PPP. The disseminated presentation around the corona is very typical of PPP.

The typical presentation of condyloma is more of a "clumpy" raised appearance like small cauliflower or bunches of grapes that is not limited to the corona. I would expect to see CA in a less distributed pattern that affected not only the corona but other parts of the penis.

Molluscum contagiosum is another possibility but the lesions are rather small and MC is usually a larger raised lesion.

What's missing from the story is the history. Is the poster sexually active? And most importantly, have these lesions been there for a while and have they been consistent in appearance for some time? These are the important questions. PPP doesn't just appear overnight. Herpes, genital warts, molluscum all appear after sexual contact and get worse over time or get better then reappear in cycles.

If they are new and have been changing, he should see a dermatologist for a more definitive diagnosis.

As stated, not a lot of info to go on. But just based on the pictures, it doesn't look like anything to worry about. Hard to say for sure without knowing sexual activity, how long they've been there, etc. But I think they look quite benign.

I saw this before. A friend of mine had the same concern and he went to the doctor and the doctor said that it was genital warts/hpv. they looked exactly like that. He said they didn't itch or anything just as you did. the doc gave him him an rx for some sort of cream or lotion i don't remember.

Always a rule of thumb.

If in doubt... go see a specialist. If there's anything new and suspicious on your body, a doctor will know better than any of us on here.
