How often do you go though things?


I am going though my closets and rooms. I am seeing stuff from 10 years ago.

I moved house a couple of years ago and had a very thorough clear out.
I found a box of stuff that I had never unpacked from when I moved in 16 years previously!

10 years? Why would I get rid of that - those are my newer clothes!

Maybe because there is only so much space, and the much older clothes have more retro flair!

I cleaned out my closet and filled the car up with old clothes and things i didn't need and gave it to Goodwill/Salvation army. I will wait again in a few months and see what i don't need and repeat

I got started a few weeks ago. I have to take my time due to my physical limitations. Going through closets, drawers, cupboards, cleaning sorting and getting ready to say goodbye to a lot of old things. It is a bit of fun.

I recently moved from a 4 bedroom house to an apartment. I had an estate sale (yes, the former me died) and sold $14,000 worth of crap. I now live in an apartment, never been happier. Life is not about the crap you own. I now spend my money on travel. Going to Eastern Europe, Norway, Paris, so far this year.

Good timing on the Spring Cleaning, just got notified that my building's annual inspection will take place in 24 hours. I'm ready!

I don't do spring cleaning.

After my next move, I'll probably have a yard sale, but it won't be of necessity. We no longer have outbuildings and barns, so having a house with enough storage space and garage space is one of my values.

It is diminshed from the space my ancestors had, but it is enough. I'm not prone to live in an apartment, or a crackeerbox, but I could make them work if I needed to. Currently, I don't.

I am contemplating a major spring cleaning in the offices this year...maybe in the summer or fall as I get ready to shift everything in my pre-retirement years to offices at the farm.

Of course, with the Trump recession ahead, it will make no sense to try to sell the buildings in town, so I might as well keep them for storage.

They are also full of good anitque furniture and paintings etc that we have no room at all for at the farm.

And I have given up any idea of spring cleaning here until we can find a good cleaning company.

We have lost our puff.
