After some advice gents! Spyware was managed to download itself on my system 2 days ago - as soon as I noticed something wrong firewalls and cookies were increased to max whilst I tried to sort it out. I've read through some of your recommendations and have done numerous scans using:
Norton
SuperAdBlocker
Spyware Nuker
Windows Defender
AVG Anti-Spyware
The latter two were on the recommendation of a local computer shop. Whilst between them - not all of them I hasten to mention - namely Norton - I have managed to quarantine and shred a few trojan files identified however, in my system toolbar - XP by the clock - there's a shield which alternates between an X and a ? stating that system has idenfied numerous spyware applications and I should install a software package to combat it - a bit dubious me thinks - especially when for some strange reason my security centre in Windows is stating that it has never been started.
Also, sorry for the length guys - when i'm online I get notifications from Norton stating that a UDP Inbound is trying to access my computer - can anyone shed any light on what on earth a UDP is as I ain't got a clue and it's flagged as a medium risk on Norton?
Sorry for the length but my technical ins and outs knowledge is zip!!!!
Thanks!
