I'm done with school in a few weeks and I'm so excited to able to concentrate on my job. Speaking of which, we've been discussing a nightmare scenario for the last couple of years. While I can't get into specifics just yet, it has finally come to pass.
There's five employees at First Note Music: Me, the two owners, their daughter and a repair tech. That's it. As if there wasn't enough going on, as if the economy isn't tanking, as if we aren't making enough money, this had to come along.
I think it's a blessing in disguise, really. We've kind of just been hanging on to our butts for the last year, waiting to see where we'd end up after the economy came back. I have a feeling we're living in a new reality that very few of us prepared for. I know that whatever the future brings, as long as First Note is around, I can't count on job security. It's the other stuff that has me worried.
