State Fair of Texas, Dallas, Saturday Oct. 4, 2008

Big Tex, GL, RO, and Centexfarmer would like to invite our fellow JUBbers, and all of those not able to attend the Southern California JUB Meet that weekend, to join us at the State Fair of Texas Saturday October 4th, 2008!

The plan is to meet at the Fair Grounds, at an entrance to be announced, at noon on Saturday, for a day walking the Midway, eating fried stuff on a stick, checking out the new 2009 model year cars and trucks, butter sculptures, farm animals, and outdoor concerts.

Bring your sun screen, and your walking shoes!

Since this is a "Mini-Meet" and most of us have friends and family living in the area there isn't a "designated" hotel for this event, but if accomodations are required I recommend The Belmont. It's within a few minutes drive of the State Fair, and it has a great view of the Dallas Skyline.

Afterwards, we can hit Oak Lawn (Dallas' Gayborhood) for dinner, drinks, and dancing.

A Fletcher's Corny Dog is a must have at the State Fair of Texas!

They talk a really long weinie, ram a stick in it, dip it into some batter, and deep fry it right in front of you!

^ Because there are only three days out of the year where I "blow my diet;" Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and the day I go to the State Fair of Texas.

I try that low going RO was doing with ease,I'll be in traction for a week!The boy's got moves!I am literally gaining a pound for every food delight presented in that thread!Sausage on a stick?And old sausageeater special!

Darn those flexible dancers!Heard Abs has moves but never got to really see them in San Antonio.But,and you didn't hear it from mestevenavy is rumored to be an incredible dancer!He better show up in San Antonio to show them off before he ships off for his sea assignment!
