I tried this this evening - it worked quite well. The nurses found my dance a bit off-putting though.

The other songs that I have used in the past have been "Nellie the Elephant", "Another one bites the Dust" and "Hit me Baby One more time" - by happy coincidence, the last line of the chorus (hit me baby one more time) coincides with delivering the shock.

I read about that this morning. The problem I would have, being a big fella, is, how much pressure (or force) is the right pressure? I don't wanna break their rib cage, you know what I mean...

If you don't break a rib or two, you probably aren't doing it right (especially in old crumblies).

The Resus Council suggest that you aim for compressions of about 1/3 of the depth of the chest cavity.

i can't remember the lyrics....i don't keep the beat....i do better with counting.....and i'v'e been BLS (Basic Life Support)/CPR trained and recertified every year since in the 80's...i used to instruct for the local Red Cross as a volunteer

I dunno. The "double clap" in the mid-section may throw people off.
