I am hoping that this will not solicit responses from skeevy old perverts who only want gross details about this and that.

Anyways.

I was looking on my roommate's computer for a song he recently listened to so that I might find it and send it to myself. In the process, I discovered that he has saved onto his hard drive two gay porn movies (this was all found in the recently viewed files) and that has recently watched some other ones that he has since deleted. He had a girlfriend for four years, broke up with her in the beginning of this year and hasn't done anything with anyone since, except over the summer they had sex a few times. I'm not into him, per se, so I don't really have any ulterior motives, I'm just wondering what percentage of actually straight men do this. The thing is, I can understand why maybe a gay man would have straight porn cuz at least there's dick in it, but a straight man with gay porn would seem 100% unappealing, eh? And then to save it to maybe watch it once a week? Weird.

Thoughts?

Straight guys don't save gay porn. Bi guys and gay guys do.

It's not crossing the line... We live together, are really good friends, and always use one another's computers. Maybe it's unclear : we're not roommates because we have to be, we're roommates because we're really good friends who chose to live together.
 
Why do you always use one another's computers? My partner and I each have one, and we never use each other's. Not because we're privacy fetishists, but because we have our own.

Well sometimes mine is off, his is off, or one of the computers is downloading something and too slow, so we just use one. I dunno. Isn't all this beside the point?
 
It's just odd that you use his computer all the time, but never noticed the gay porn.

And if he has absolutely no compunction about you messing around on his computer, then he has no problem with you discovering the gay porn on his computer.

And if you're such good friends that you can share all that, you shouldn't have any trouble saying, "Hey, you've got some hot gay porn on your computer. What's up with that?"

I'm with you bachemi2000. If you guys are both cool sharing each others computers who are we to say that is wrong???? My roommate and I share ours too. He knows more about them than I do so he will often get mine going if it crashes or something. I KNOW he has seen that I've visited gay sites. I've also come out of the shower to answer the phone or something naked and I know he sees me but I don't care, we are roommates. I feel roommates can do whatever they both feel comfortable with. We have never fooled around with each other( he is straight) but we have lived together for 6.5 yrs and it works great. I don't have anything to hide. I LOVE having that freedom.

Well I'm not trying to be sneaky into doing anything. I'm just curious. Yes, we are good friends, but he is Japanese and has that introspective mentality where he does not openly divulge much information. I am not looking to embarrass him. Also, I dunno if it was understood or not, but he knows I'm gay. I'm out to everyone.
 
If he is "straight" but saves gay porn on his pc, then I really doubt he believes you two share things like you believe you do. Unless he is really a total idiot. I still say you crossed the line.

As a matter of fact, yes IT IS besides the point! lol, as you've discovered there are a lot of people that like to pick apart whatever you write and judge each piece as they see fit... see the blog called "i'm so sick of my g/f!!!" in the bi forum, lol.

Anyways, yeah, sounds like he's into guys. I think it's cool that you have such an open relationship.

My roommate knows I'm bi, and I have no problems with him using my home pc. I keep my laptop in my bedroom for convenience, but if he ever needed to use it I'd be fine with it. Any porn would be on my laptop, but the internet history would reveal a couple gay social networking sites. Computer sharing is a high level of relationship dude, rock on! :D

As to finding the the gay movies, all I got to say is that he might be gay, even bisexual, but he could also be curious as well. I got straight porn on my hard drive, but that doesn't mean I'm straight! In fact, I'm very happy with my partner and don't need to go looking for straight sex to get my jollies. He's a guy and that's enough to make me gay I figure. I just don't like putting people in a Pigeonhole in regards to their sexuality, we're all far more complex than that.

Since he already knows that you're Gay maybe he downloaded some Gay Porn to see what the attraction might be.

When my best-friend and I, who's straight, lived together I'd catch him watching some of my porn every now and again, and he'd ask me questions about, but it wasn't like he was even remotely interested in any first hand experience. [-X

We joked that the only difference between Gay Porn and Straight Porn is that in Gay Porn you can imagine yourself in either position. :mrgreen:

Maybe he was just a little curious. You have watched straight porn haven't you? It doesn't mean he will ever act on that curiosity or that he is particularly turned on by it. I just means he doesn't know how to clean up his tracks on his computer and that you need to quit nosing around in other peoples private info.
 
OK guys i think you are bringing up things that you shouldnt be. Yes he is using his roommates computer and you think its a invasion of privacy BUT he did say his roommate does the same on his. Obviously this is NOT an issue and they are cool with that with eachother thats all that matters people. My opinion of the situation of him having gay porn on his computer well maybe he is a lil curious as to why you like doing stuff with another guy, what its like with another man, you know he could just be curious about the gay lifestyle. Or he can be bi, but if he is your best friend i think he would tell you,maybe not though. Just leave a gay porn page open and tell him not to have too much fun with it while your gone in a joking way and see what he says.OR you can honestly just str8 up ask him so are you into guys as well ? im just curious cause i happen to be using your computer the other day looking for a song you had on there and i came across some porn that wasnt exactly porn that a str8 guy would be watching,he may be open to you about it and let you know what hes going thru. if your good friends it shouldnt be hard and he wont hate you for asking.
 
Just say to him: I was going through your computer files the other day and I found some gay porn movies.

That way you will find out:

A) What he really thinks about you going through his computer files, and

B) Why he downloaded the movies.
