Strange pain in my kidneys

Anyway, I'm glad you're not in great pain. Are you sure it's your kidneys? Could it just be lower back strain? Just in case it is though you might want to back off on the vitamin C as too much can be a strain on the kidneys and also give you diarrhea.

Usually kidney pain is on one side not both sides. Usually muscle strain is more generalized and affects both sides.

The more worrisome symptoms are the dizziness and light-headedness. Did these go away after you stopped drinking the caffeine drinks?

I'm guessing your pain might be muscle related, or you might have a slight kidney infection. It is very uncommon to have both kidneys affected by an infection, but it's possible.

Glad to know you're drinking lots of fluids - but make sure most of those fluids are clear like water! Cranberry juice is good for kidney/bladder infections, too.

For discomfort, take Tylenol but nothing with ibuprofin!!! Ibuprofin has a nice anti-inflamatory agent to it, but its hard on the kidneys! Fact is, we don't recommend ibuprofin for anyone with ANY type of renal complication.

If you suddenly have major pain, blood in your urine, or have pain when you urinate, please seek medical help right away.

Keep on the fluids and ease up a bit on the caffine.

Take care... (*8*)

well i'm happy you're not in great pain i was just joking with my previous post i'm sorry, hope you are fine soon.

Jeez, you guys, calm down. I'm not in hideous pain. I called the person I know who knows a lot about medical stuff (and kidneys in particular), and she told me until I start to get into real pain that I don't have to worry. I'm drinking lots of fluids and eating lots of vitamin C; that should ward off the bugs if it's a kidney infection. I'm seeing the emergency doctor on Monday when the clinic opens.

I came here for medical advice, not alarmist knee-jerk "go to the emergency room NOW" reactions; I guess you can't really trust a gay porn forum for that, though, so I guess I won't bother in the future.

We've said to go straight to the nearest hospital because we assume your doctor would have shut up shop for the day. It's actually best to have this sort of thing checked out as soon as possible.

One time, I felt I had an irregular heart beat and heart ache.....went straight to my doctor (was a weekday). Turns out I strained myself at gym and the heart ache was a false alarm.
