Stretch marks

I have recently become quite self conscious of the stretch around my buttocks, mostly because I didn't realize they were there! 3.5 years ago I started a workout and diet regimen to reverse the weight I was gaining. Back then I was 1 lb away from 200lbs and was determined not keep gaining weight.

Well I am happy to say I was able to lose the weight. However it seems the weight loss ruined my nice ass. Well I still have a nice round ass (bless my mothers and fathers genetic, they both have bubble butts lol), but it has unsightly stretch marks. My ass used to be a smooth bubble butt.

To my understanding there is no way to "fix" this. I am a bit afraid at how much of a turn off this might be. Eh this seems like such a superficial question, but i hate being self conscious about my ass/glutes (its my favorite human body part after all!). Is there way to improve stretch marks?

P.S. Just to elaborate, during my weight loss I ended up going down to 152 lbs without even realizing it! My mistake was keeping the intense workouts, but not increasing my calories once i reached my target weight. I admit however I had never felt more agile and full of energy than at that weight, but I looked way to skinny for my height! I am now at ~170lbs and quite happy; well except for the post topic ;).

Congratulations on your weight loss and work out regime. You may want to try taking some vitamin E on a regular basis, also cocoa butter is supposed to do wonders for stretch marks when applied to the affected areas. Best of luck to you and remember a lot of people do not have the discipline and drive to achieved what you have and you will find that a few stretch marks are, to a lot of us, a small price to pay for not being overweight. Cheers.

There are some anti scar lotions in the drug store. I don't know if they work, but you might try.

I don't think there's much you can do other than wait for it to start fading into a lighter colour.

The cocoa butter/vitamin E cream might be a good idea to apply to areas that you think are prone to it, to try and prevent new ones.

I have them all over the back of my legs (and some other more visible areas), and they do go lighter and less red over time.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! And Maklaar thank you, I supposed I should have a sense of pride of what the stretch mark represent.
