God, I love you.
Aren't a lot of things human in this world just a crock? I'm proud of you for trying it. People should try more things more often--and not only related to sex.
"As Herodotus wrote, 'It is better by noble boldness to run the risk of being subject to half the evils we anticipate than to remain in cowardly listlessness for fear of what may happen.'"
I hate to diminish sex, since sex is important to a lot of people (myself included) and arguably an integral part of good personal and psychological health. Nevertheless, if gay sex happens to be one of the three batrillion things I try in my life, and one of the probably 43% (figure came from somewhere dark and moist) of those I don't especially care for, then it is just a statistic. Well, maybe some interesting conversation... IF I feel like discussing it.
At any rate, did you know, I once made a fantastic-looking bean salad that had totally piqued my curiosity? Did you know I ate a bowl and fed the rest to the garbage disposal in my kitchen sink? Food for thought.
You're beautiful just the way you are, even if it means we're never gonna hit the sack together. And did you know? That's okay.
There are limitless other experiences we can share. We certainly don't have to, but we can. We can even enjoy (or not enjoy) them. Subsequently, we may or may not choose to keep in touch. And did you know? That's okay, too.
I think you already have this one by the... erm... balls, unless that's a bad expression.
Nevertheless, I think it's important not to loose sight of this. For whatever reason, a lot of times people unconsciously believe the world is on the verge of slipping to the abyss every time even a tiny little thought or notion contradicts their paradigm. It's important first of all to be aware that you even have a paradigm; and of course, what good is that if you have no idea what it is?Then, it's important to remember that it's just a paradigm. It is you; not the world, and not anyone else--though any can, and do invariably, change.
So long as you are aware, conscious of it, you have complete control of what it is and how it manifests in your actions. Can you understand that everyone else has his own? And can you respect that it isn't necessarily a carbon copy of yours? This is mostly rhetoric, by the by. I'm not aiming this at anyone in particular.
I hope I'm using the right word there... "paradigm."
Shyoo, man... 'S pas' my bedtime!
