I've never thought about the differences between UK and USA in popular Chinese takeaway. Both countries have a lot of fried foods covered in sauce but most are not authentic cuisine. Actually, the idea of chips with curry sauce sounds like a winner to me. Most of what I've learned sounds reasonable, it's not like the British are ordering Kung Pao Kippers or Chocolate Fortune Cookies. Maybe here in Seattle, where I live, I can try UK style Chinese takeaway for a much needed change. General Tso's Fish & Chips sounds like a winner.

 
I've eaten plenty of Chinese food, both in restaurants and at home from takeaways. I've never ordered chips (fries) or curry sauce, but I have had egg fried rice which actually contained egg. That's about far as I got with the video.

There's a busy Chinese Quarter in Birmingham which has lots of restaurants. I generally favour those which have plenty of Chinese customers and they have pretty much always served good food. The restaurant which was the biggest disappointment turned out to be Korean, a fact I didn't realise until afterwards. I learned a long time ago that the "curry" served in Chinese restaurants is revolting. If I want curry, I'll go to an Indian restaurant. Birmingham has lots of those to choose from too.
 
I couldn't tolerate the voiceover's insipid persona.

As for curry, I like curry, but cannot digest it in the quantities used by Indians or East Asians. When it is treated lightly, as an accent, I'm fine.

Same applies to dry mustard. Love the pretzels, but they destroy my insides.

The variety of cuisine in the UK is great, just as it is here. I like the differences, too.
 
^ I couldn't tolerate him either. Him, his voice, his 'fucking' several times a sentence, and his obnoxious video tricks. I think I made it half-way through before I hit the X.
 
Lol, I liked the video because it has no basis in actual experience, it was just perception. Some of the food items sound strange but you never know until you try it. I enjoyed meeting the owner of a local restaurant who made his own curry sauce - he came to the USA from Vietnam.
