I've never thought about the differences between UK and USA in popular Chinese takeaway. Both countries have a lot of fried foods covered in sauce but most are not authentic cuisine. Actually, the idea of chips with curry sauce sounds like a winner to me. Most of what I've learned sounds reasonable, it's not like the British are ordering Kung Pao Kippers or Chocolate Fortune Cookies. Maybe here in Seattle, where I live, I can try UK style Chinese takeaway for a much needed change. General Tso's Fish & Chips sounds like a winner.
