I've been reading good stuff about Firefox, and would like to download & use it for cerain things. But I want to continue browsing with IE & some programs/site require it.

Can you switch back & forth between the two? Is it easy to do so?

Thanks!

Firefox is a good browser and IE has a beta version(which I am using right now) that incorparates many of its features. The one problem that I have with both is that QuickTime videos will not run. For example the Quick Time Movie that is on todays JUB home page will not run. I click on the icon and all I get is the Quick Time Logo with a question mark. I have Quick Time on my computer and it works fine if I download a video, just not opening movies on pages like JUB.

Being seperate programs, you can choose which one to use or have both open at the same time. I think that FireFox is more secure in that less virus programs and such are written and executed for non-Microsoft programs.

I'm using IE7 and have no problem with Quicktime. If I download Firefox, which I have used in the past and like, will it take on the features of IE7?

Are you wanting something along the lines of IE View? I'm kinda confused.

Here is a good troubleshooting guide for your Quicktime issue.

Good luck!

I mainly use Firefox, but i use IE for accessing pages from work, because they only support IE. so yes you can switch back and forth no problem. doens't take any configuring either. i just click the big blue E if i want IE or the firefox icon if i want it.

I find that IE for some reason doesn't play the clips on xtube pornotube etc. which i have no problems with on firefox. i've tried all of the IE troubleshooting to fix this but can't seem to figure it out, so when i want to watch these clips i use firefox. IE seems to be better for the pictures . so for the stuff here on JUB, essentially i switch back and forth with no problems other than that i mentioned

I use Firefox and Opera on a daily basis - they're both great, but each does some things better than the other.

IE is only used by MS for updates. It sits there in the corner wearing a dunce's cap and feels very ashamed of itself.

sometimes when I use CCleaner it tells me to shut down firefox, but the freaking thing is not running!!!!!

I get this too from CCleaner, and it's right!

Go to Task Manager [CTRL+ALT+DEL] and you'll see FF and can end it there.
