Swollen prostate and pain and NO PLEASURE

Hi guys,

I'm a guy in his mid 20's. 4 months ago, I was horny as hell so I used my buttplug, a rather underaverage size one. I was going fast and hard... and I was too rough. Cumming was utterly intense, though afterwards I was stuck with overwhelming lower body pain: a swollen prostate that felt like I had a golf ball stuck up my ass, cramps under the belly button area, shifting pain in buttocks. There was no bleeding or discharge. Moreover, cumming after this incident felt like NOTHING at all. I mean, no pleasure whatsoever. I really started freaking out.

After two weeks things improved pain-wise, but still next to nothing pleasure wise. I went to the doc who said it'll take care of itself within 8-12 weeks' time with relaxation and sitz baths.

For the next ten weeks I had pain shifting in and out. Cumming felt a bit better but only 25%-33% of what it usually feels like... Did not have much time to relax because of work, and whenever I tried to relax I thought of this prostate problem...

At week 13 I checked with the doc again, he said it might take longer as the prostate takes a long time to heal. He put me on Ibuprofen 2 caps 3 times a day for 2 weeks. It definitely helped the pain, and now there isn't much left of it but there's still short bursts 4-5 times a day... and cumming still doesn't feel like much.

I tried spinbiking (which had helped a bout of prostatitis I had 3 years ago in no time), no effect.

I tried stretches in the "Pain in the Pelvis" book - very little progress.

When I was having sex with my bf, cumming felt 50% normal.

Tried prostate massage, I think it might have helped a bit. I tried playing with my ass with my fingers while jerking off, and once, I came and it felt I'd say 80% normal...

I might have made things worse by excessively "testing" myself jerking off out of worry in hope that I can cum normally again these past 4 months.

Now trying not to jerk off for 2 weeks and stay hydrated to see what happens... Though I'm really started to be worried.

I'm seeing the doc next week...

I'd appreciate the input of you guys with medical expertise or personal experience....

Thanks:confused:

Eat raw oysters. I love them and they're loaded with zinc, which is good for the prostate. I eat them all the time and shoot large loads.

Little of what you have described would be consistent with prostatitis. The pain of prostatitis is typically a dull ache- usually in the perineum or scrotum. Although in acute causes, it can be painful and accompanied by a cramping pain. Because prostatitis and urethritis are both symptoms of urinary tract infection, it's sometimes difficult to determine which is the source of the pain.

Diagnosis of prostatitis is made by a combination of patient interview and a physical exam involving digital palpation of the prostate (which is a fancy way of saying the practitioner sticks their finger in your ass and feels the prostate with their finger). Sometimes a blood count and urinalysis are done. Anti-inflammatory medications, hot baths and regular masturbation are usually suggested. A moderate length course of antibiotics may be prescribed.

A butt plug might cause temporary inflammation of the prostate however it would not cause weeks of prostate inflammation and it would not cause any permanent damage to the prostate.

Given that your symptoms haven't improved, you can followup with your doctor or you may want to get a referral to a urologist.

Kara given what you said here and in other posts - here is some additional info...

The day the buttplug irritation happened I had been jerking off 2 times already, then jerked off after the prostate stimulation (so I'm guessing total was 3-4 times)...

In the days after this I must have done it 3-4 times a day in order to see if I could cum normally and I realize now it might have actually made it worse...

Also realized that if I don't jerk off for at least 5 days there is something like 70% level of pleasure - pain is also minimal too... I'm guessing you'd recommend laying off sexual activity for a while for the prostate area to recover?

Doc also said 4 months ago my prostate was swollen and since then I've had shifting pains below belly button and in and out pain in my left tigh

No, I'd suggest you see a specialist because pain for this length of time would not be typical of prostatitis.

Checked again with doc, says prostate is only slightly swelled on one side now - so it's improved. Prescribed trimtroprim for 2 weeks (2 halves once a day) and then halves for 2 months. Says this antibiotic will help diminish the inflammation as well as clearing infections should there be some. Says he's certain it'll do the work

Ok so 2 weeks later here. Lots of new details

Back up until early July I was doing spinbiking 60 minutes a day to help swell down the prostate as it had helped the first time around... I had been at it for 3 months and I think I might have added a problem on top of the swollen prostate - sciatic or pudental nerve entrapment from bad posture and excessive exercising - which would explain my buttock down to feet weird pains + not feeling too much pleasure from cumming... So I stopped doing that althogether, the intensity of those pains are diminishing.

Also reduced orgasming to 1-2 a week rather than 1 a day. After cumming I have this dull ache below my bellybutton for like 24 hours. Normally I get 1-2 "hits" of dull pelvic-abdominal pain a day.

I can reach I'd say 80%-95% of normal orgasm by climbing rope and having a "coregasm". However with hands I get 60%-70%.

Thinking of going to see physiotherapist...

Kara, any thoughts?
