It hasn't been new since 1961, when it changed its name from CCF. And, of course, there hasn't been a left-wing Christian since 4 B.C.The NDP evolved from the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) which grew from populist, agrarian and democratic socialist roots into a modern social-democratic party. While the party is secular and pluralistic, it has a longstanding relationship with the Christian left and the Social Gospel movement, particularly the United Church of Canada. However, the federal party has broadened to include concerns of the New Left, and advocates issues such as gay rights, international peace, and environmental stewardship.
The word riding is descended from late Old English *þriðing or *þriding (recorded only in Latin contexts or forms, e.g., trehing, treding, trithing, with Latin initial t here representing the Old English letter thorn). It came into Old English as a loanword from Old Norse þriðjungr, meaning a third part (especially of a county), cf. farthing. The modern form riding was the result of initial th being absorbed in the final th or t of the words north, south, east and west, by which it was normally preceded.[2][3]
A common misconception holds that the term arose from some association between the size of the district and the distance that can be covered on horseback in a certain amount of time.
And I'm surprised at the amount of people I know landing Liberal. A vast chunk, anyway.

I updated Adobe Flash.
I rebooted.
Ten minutes ago I tried for the quiz again. It still says "loading".
This Texas Boy last visited (and loves btw) New Brunswick!
So I told the Survey that I'm from New Brunswick. Saint John to be exact, and I said that my postal code is E5G.
I answered the questions based upon how I felt about certain issues, answered "I don't know" to everything else, and I guess the next time that I visit New Brunswick I should be wearing this button:

But most of my Canadian friends tell me that they'll be voting for "the evil that they know."
Whatever that is.
I find Canadian politics fascinating.![]()
Have you dumped the page cache? The machine might be using the one without cookies and/or Flash turned on.Do I give up?
No matter what I do, all I see is the same page.
Does the quiz pop up? Maybe some other setting is blocking it.
Was it all worth it? For some reason I think not. lolApparently I'm closest to the Liberal party and farthest from the Conservative.
