I have the show Terra Nova on my DVR but I don't know if Its worth watching. I know the show has been canceled so I just don't know:confused:

I didn't know they canceled it. I'm sitting here waiting for the next season to start. it wasn't that bad.

They should of dropped the whole cliche family act tbh

They tried to appease to everyone and failed to create a compelling piece of entertainment.

I want eight seasons, but they have to re-tool.

Netflix might pick it up, that's the show's last chance.

Oh and little fun fact for everyone

Terra Nova is the highest rated show in history to get cancelled.

Not only did it make the network money but it averaged 8Million viewers a week.

I hear that Netflix has passed on the show.

The early episodes were just so-so but the ending episodes got much better.

The ratings on it were ok - not the best but it would have been renewed if it was not so expensive to make.

I wish they would let these shows do a final episode before they're canceled. It's wrong to end a season on a "to be continue" style and never create a new episode. This show and SGU really pissed me off.

^^^ - I agree. They should have one final episode to "answer" all of the questions. I liked the show, but I have a feeling that it isn't going to get picked up by any of the other networks.

Some of the men in this are quite sexy. The father... the son... the daughter's boyfriend...

The reason it is cancelled is because the production budget is too expensive. In fact, it is the most expensive TV show to be ever made.

I don't really blame them. I thought it would be cool, but the family and social issues are a bit bland and circling nowhere. The only thing capturing me until the end is Stephen Lang :p

I was disappointed a few weeks back to hear that it'd been cancelled - yes, I'd miss seeing that Canadian cutie Landon Liboiron ("Josh") week in and week out (gratuitous link to JUB thread for him! - don't worry, Landon, you'll find bigger/better things), but beyond that, I had read they'd hired more "major", heavyweight writers for the planned second season to beef up the plotlines and give the show a little more direction and consistency - I was looking forward to seeing that since I love seeing any series with an interesting premise (remember "FlashForward"?) evolve and improve from its beginning, and now we won't see that.

I wonder if they'll bother to release the complete season/series on DVD/Blu-Ray to recoup some money? Were people fans of it enough that they might shell out for the box set?

I am sure they will release a DVD set - but very surprised it has not been announced yet. The longer they wait the less people will remember the show.

If the damn thing had stuck to traditional sci-fi storywriting, i.e., socio-political commentary, it might have survived. It had a great premise.

Instead, the producers wanted to attract a "target audience" of teenagers and whomsoever the hell watches the telly these days.

If they'd cut the budget by half and paid the writers a quarter of that, we all might still be enjoying the show.
