Hi. I've been having pain in my left testicle, which started a few days ago. I've been doing a bit or research and I have absolutely no idea whats wrong. Also, when people have asked on other websites, people just give stupid answers, so please, no stupid answers :-)

About the pain - So it started a few days ago and its on and off. Most of the time it doesnt hurt when I leave it alone, but when I tough it does. Sometimes it does hurt buts its not major, its a little bit uncomfortable! I did a testicular self examination thing and both balls are the same hardness (dont know how to put it) and there are no lumps. I try to figure out where abouts the pain it coming from, but i think its either at the back of the ball (closest to your belly button) or the chords/veines which are attached to it.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Any advice will he helpfull. BTW I really dont want to go to the doctor, and IF I do, could I get an x-ray? I dont wont anyone touching it or anything.

Thanks alot!

You need to see a doctor.

The testes do tend to be sensitive to movement in some people. Where we worry is when the pain is on one side or when the pain is new. It sounds like this is the case with you.

Contrary to popular belief, testicular cancer is not painful.

This leaves three possibilities - trauma, infection or conditions like hydrocele. All of these conditions require a doctor to take a history and do a physical examination.

this pain can also be associated with a problem in your spine. See a MD soon.

I had that happen to me years ago, out of the blue, on my left nut in the rear of it. I went to my doc. I forget the term he used but he said it is quite common that, perhaps in your sleep, you rolled and twisted your nut some that sort of "kinked" the chord in the back which is causing the ache. He had me buy a suspensory and wear it for a few days and all was well.

Testicular torsion. It's a pretty severe pain often associated with physical activity.

We here on JUB, are not doctor's and as such it would be improper to give advise other than telling you that you need to go to a doctor.

Your health is not something to mess with on a web forum..hope all turns out ok..

Go see your doctor. They will probably do a sonogram (they'll squirt lube on them and have a handheld scanner take pics of the inside). It will *not* hurt one bit.

Trust me, you'll worry yourself sick until you get the doctor to check them out. It could be testicular torsion - which you need to get checked ASAP, testicular cancer - which is very survivable if you get it diagnosed early, or spermatoceles - which causes a little discomfort but needs no further treatment (which is what mine turned out to be).

It'll be a little embarrassing, but everyone will be completely professional, and you will feel SO much better after the doctor tells you "nothing to worry about."

I think most guys have had testicular pain at one time or another. I know that I have. It is always wise to have your boys checked out to make sure it is nothing serious. The doctor will want to examine your testicles and will question you about the type and frequency of the pain.

I remember the first time I went to the doctor with pain in my testicle, he told me to masturbate more often...and sure enough it worked. Years later I had other causes for the pain and was always glad I sought the doctors advice to figure out what was going on.

No need for embarrassment... trust me he had seen balls before!
Good luck

If it was torsion, you'd be in agony. It could be an infection. I've had similar symptoms a few times. Most of the time it went away after a day or two. Once recently it didn't, and the pain was much worse, and I went in for surgery to check for a torsion: wasn't torsion in the end, went home with antibiotics and stitches :P

Bottom line? See a doctor. Best case scenario, you leant on it for a bit and it's a bit sore.

I had the same pain. Went to the doctor and did all the usual tests with no results. The doctor told me it could just be from rolling over in my sleep but not to worry.

I then went to my accupuncture treatment for a shoulder pain due to an auto accident. He asked if there was anything else and I told him about my testicular pain. He had me stick out my tongue, looked at it and told me that I was allergric to caffeine in coffee! He advised me to cut my morning cup of coffee with Decaf and only drink tea the rest of the day. Ever since the pain has never returned!!

Another "go to the doc". I had something more or less similar once, except I had a dull pain when standing or wearing tight trousers. I could rule out any STDs, yet it didn't vanish after 2 days. I went to the doc and he felt them a bit, tested my urine and diagnosed a what he called "sterile inflammation". i got to take ibuprofen for a week - and afterwards it was gone. BUT he also said it could have been wors and complimented me on directly making an appointment, because, sadly, most men wait too long. Don't be one of them.

I have left nut pain some times been back to a doc and its from when i had a hernia repair done last year.he has said it will go away in time. ya right some times if hurts real bad he told me give it another six months and if it still hurts come back and he would give me a shot into the left side above my nut.

I had something like that as well. Very painful to touch but not really when left alone. Went to the doctor.... I twisted one of the tubes on one of my nuts. HUGE relief, and went away on it's own.

But go to the doctor to rule out anything bad.
