The closest thing to pandemic lockdowns, without the inconvenience and sadness of total lack of crowds (just the ones that happily are out and about on vacation), unwillingly fucked-up people and closed business... I will need time to devote to my own library, no need to go to others for several weeks... just not yet

Those are the worst kind.

Those are the worst kind.
You mean the sort that are not attending classes anymore and are now on vacation away from BCN?
Because I do not care about tourists... even in crazily overcrowded BCN, they represent just a small fraction, and the locals are at least as annoying to me... so I am happy that they seem to be magically gone

No, the ones who mill about across the whole sidewalk like it's a theme park, talking loud, pointing their cameras up at the talllllllll buildings as they walk backwards into traffic.

You mean locals on leisure, who would like to preserve their towns and cities as theme parks to stroll along shops in which they never buy, talking as loud as Spaniards would allow themselves, and pointing their cameras up and around to make of it the perfect background for "memories" of their holy spawn.

No, the American tourists. They think the sidewalks are for standing around and making noises with their faces. They ask for directions and never say 'thank you'. The European tourists are not as annoying. They think they're all better than Americans. And they would be right about that.
