I`m especially happy for the very young Chris Colfer. Go Chris! So proud of you!

I think they may have accidentally released parts of last year's list with the new one. No Heather Morris? She made a few of the episodes watchable on Glee this season...shame...

A lot of similarities, anyway. Black Swan better sweep. One of the best films I've ever seen.

I am VERY happy The Best Actress (Dramatic) category. My top 4 choices were all picked. All gave amazing performances, but I must say Nicole Kidman stands out this year is a performance that is truly heartbreaking! RABBIT HOLE was amazing!

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA

a. HALLE BERRY FRANKIE AND ALICE
b. NICOLE KIDMAN RABBIT HOLE
c. JENNIFER LAWRENCE WINTER’S BONE
d. NATALIE PORTMAN BLACK SWAN
e. MICHELLE WILLIAMS BLUE VALENTINE

I do ask how Halle Berry came into play though? Has anyone seen FRANKIE AND ALICE? I finally just saw the trailer, looks like it has potential, but it just kind of appeared out of nowhere, and IMDB states it doesnt even release until February...

Best TV Series — Drama
Boardwalk Empire
Dexter
The Good Wife
Mad Men
The Walking Dead
I'm rooting for Dexter. Season 5 was strong despite a weak finale.

I've never seen Boardwalk Empire. The Good Wife is decent but it isn't worthy of winning the award. Mad Men is boring as hell. The Walking Dead had a strong first episode but it went downhill from there. So... go Dexter! :)
Best TV Series — Musical or Comedy
30 Rock
The Big Bang Theory
The Big C
Glee
Modern Family
Nurse Jackie
I don't watch 30 Rock or The Big Bang Theory so I hope neither of those shows win. Glee is starting to lose me so I hope they don't win either. Modern Family is good but it isn't must-see-TV. That leaves The Big C, which I love. Anyone who hasn't seen it should watch it OnDemand. The last two episodes of the season made me bawl my eyes out.
Best Actor — Drama
Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
Michael C. Hall, Dexter
Jon Hamm, Mad Men
Hugh Laurie, House M.D.
As usual, I'll be rooting for Michael C. Hall.
Best Actress — Drama
Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men
Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife
Piper Perabo, Covert Affairs
Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy
Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer
I'm not a regular viewer of any of these shows but I love Kyra Sedgwick and I think Elisabeth Moss is fantastic, so I hope one of those two win.
Best Actor — Musical or Comedy
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
Steve Carell, The Office
Thomas Jane, Hung
Matthew Morrison, Glee
Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory
Meh... don't care.
Best Actress — Musical or Comedy
Toni Collette, United States of Tara
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie
Tina Fey, 30 Rock
Laura Linney, The Big C
Lea Michele, Glee
I love pretty much every actress in this category. Toni, Edie, Laura and Lea are all fantastic in their respective roles. I would be happy to see any of them win.
Best Supporting Actor in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie
Scott Caan, Hawaii Five-0
Chris Colfer, Glee
Chris Noth, The Good Wife
David Strathairn, Temple Grandin
Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family
I'm rooting for Chris Colfer. Although Glee has gotten a little too Kurt-centric, I think Chris is one of the best actors on the show.
Best Supporting Actress in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie
Hope Davis, The Special Relationship
Jane Lynch, Glee
Kelly Macdonald, Boardwalk Empire
Julia Stiles, Dexter
Sofia Vergara, Modern Family
What a bizarre list.

I love Jane and I would love to see her win, but Julia Stiles was great on Dexter this season. She had some very heavy material to play and I think she pulled it off successfully.

Notable snubs:

Patricia Heaton, The Middle
Nelsan Ellis, True Blood
Adina Porter, True Blood
Jennifer Carpenter, Dexter

Can someone tell me why Jennifer Carpenter is continually overlooked every awards season?

She might look like a man, but she's a fantastic actress.

Glad to see The Social Network and Inception both made the cut for Best Drama. If I had to choose between the two, I'd lean towards Social Network.

A terrible TERRIBLE omission is Toy Story 3 from the Best Comedy Musical category. Really. It was the best of the year.

Also very very glad that Andrew Garfield is getting some recognition in the US. YAY!!

I do ask how Halle Berry came into play though? Has anyone seen FRANKIE AND ALICE? I finally just saw the trailer, looks like it has potential, but it just kind of appeared out of nowhere, and IMDB states it doesnt even release until February...

"Frankie & Alice" was in limited release in November in New york, L.A. and a couple other markets..The Production company rushed to get it in a few theatres so they could play-up a Nomination for Halle...The campaining worked...

wow these nominations are HORRIBLE! In all seriousness...HORRIBLE

I have to agree but when you think about it there wasnt any GOOD-memorable movies this year...I saw Jolie & Depp in "The Tourist" over the weeknd and it was HORRIBLE...The Production team thought by taking Great actors like the 2 of them and giving them a terrible script would still equal success...WRONG....They DO NOT deserve Golden Globe nominations for "The Tourist"...

What happened to all that Hype about Mickey-Mouser Justine Timberlake landing a nomination for his break-through performance in "Social"? Maybe the Oscar nominating panel will show him some Love...I havent seen the flick...

I thought his performance was the weakest link in the otherwise outstanding SN. Maybe he should stick to SNL skits.:p

I'm very disappointed Tilda Swinton did not receive a nomination for BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA by the Golden Globes but I'm very happy the film was nominated. Hopefully the Oscars will rectify the situation.

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM

BIUTIFUL (MEXICO/SPAIN)
Menageatroz, Focus Features International; Roadside Attractions

THE CONCERT (FRANCE)
An Oï Oï Oï Productions, Les Productions Du Tresor, France 3 Cinema, Europacorp, Castel Films, Panache Productions, RTBF (Belgian Television), BIM Distrubuzione Co., Canal +, Cinecinema and France 3; The Weinstein Company

THE EDGE (Kpaй) (RUSSIA)

I AM LOVE (IO SONO L’AMORE) (ITALY)
First Sun; Magnolia Pictures

IN A BETTER WORLD (Hævnen) (DENMARK)
Zentropa Entertainment; Sony Pictures Classics

Bullshit snubbery:
Breaking Bad for best series, and Aaron Paul for supporting actor in a series.
Parks and Recreation for every comedy series category .
Big Love for various television drama categories. Especially Chloe Sevigny and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
Treme and its entire cast!!!
- Khandi Alexander (in a performance better than any nominated in the best actress in a drama series category).
-Melissa Leo
-John Goodman
-Kim Dickens
The Wire was always snubbed for awards too. I guess some things are just TOO good.
At least the Writers Guild of America knows what's up.

LOL, WTF were they thinking?:
Johnny Depp? For those two films? Seriously?
Hugh Laurie (I have my reasons).
Eric Stonestreet (Sorry, I really just hate Modern Family).
Burlesque: This is like nominating Coyote Ugly for best drama, since it's basically the same film.

Pleasant Surprises:
Michele Williams and Ryan Gosling for Blue Valentine: This film looks amazing and I've been dying to see it and there isn't a chance in hell either of them are going to win.
Annette Bening: Not really a surprise, but I just adore her and she made The Kids Are All Right worth watching. Sure, the rest of the cast was good, but she really nailed it for me.

At least there weren't any nominations for True Blood, surprisingly.

- Khandi Alexander (in a performance better than any nominated in the best actress in a drama series category).

Ah, yes... Khandi Alexander. She's fantastic. She definitely deserved a nomination.

I'm bummed Martha Plimpton didn't get a nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy for "Raising Hope"...she's phenomenal in that show...a lot funnier than Lea Michelle

I don't think Glee deserved any of their nominations...not for this shitty ass season....Matthew Morrison's is the most laughable one of them though.

I'm bummed Martha Plimpton didn't get a nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy for "Raising Hope"...she's phenomenal in that show...a lot funnier than Lea Michelle.
I've always loved Martha Plimpton! I have yet to see this program though. I will certainly check it out and likely agree with you.

Love Martha, love Raising Hope and Cloris Leachman and Garret Dillahunt are amazing in it!

Annoyed that they were all snubbed!!

I thought Justine Timberlake's performance was the weakest link in the otherwise outstanding SN. Maybe he should stick to SNL skits.:p

...LOL.....He didnt get a SAG nomination either....All that talk Critics did over the last few months to garner him a nomination and it didnt work...EVEN MSNBC dedicated their daily "Oscar Buzz" segment to "Justine getting a nomination" this winter for his "great performance"...

The Academy has been looking for ways to bolster viewership of the awards shows... I am concerned they may nominated JT just to get some attention.

His was not a "great performance". He was good, but nowhere near great. Jesse Eisenberg was great, and Andrew Garfield was great but not JT, in my opinion.
