The Amazing Race 17 - 2010

K & R may have been physically fit but that isn't enough.
With 2 of the 5 remaining teams being FF, those are pretty good odds, especially since they've each taken firsts and second place a lot.

Was anyone else surprised that Thomas and Jill got a 30 minute penalty for having a taxi lead them to the pitstop when no mention was made of that in this leg of the race?
 
I wasn't surprised. People have such a tendency to not read the entire clue, and the taxi taking or using as a lead is one of the biggest screw ups teams make. Look how many made that mistake in the last leg. One strted to do it and changed their mind. The HSN girls took it and then went back and Kev and his dad did it twice, once taking the taxi and then as a lead.
 
I was sorry to see, two weeks go, that Kevin and Michael didn't make it. I figured there where be some physical challenge and Michael might fall behind.

I am very surprised, and disappointed, that, Nick and Vicki, Dumb and Dumber, are not GONE yet.
 
But my point was that in the previous epi there were clear additional instructions telling teams not to use taxis to lead them to the next route marker and the viewers were made aware of that fact esp. by B & C.
This past week nothing was said and a penalty was given. Viewers have always know what would cause a penalty to be given and that was not the case.
 
^ I agree...that episode was not well edited.

They should have also explained what happened to Nick and Vicki's speed bump.
 
Call me crazy, but I'm finding Thomas more and more sexy every week. I love his tight little arms and his slightly hairy chest.

and I agree with Thomas getting a bit sexier...he reminds me a lot of Jason Mraz
 
Totally agree about Thomas. He's getting sexier each week... despite him continuously trying to prove how much smarter he is than Jill. Even saying that, I don't mind seeing these two winning. I'll be rooting for them and QVC girls.

Does anyone else want to smack Nick? I feel so bad for Vicki.

Nick. He was SO looking forward to being eliminated, Seemed almost deflated that it was a non-elimination leg. Oh well, he won't have to wait much longer.

First choice, I would probably slap the eliminated Chad, he seems slightly smarter than Nick, and should know better, but still treated his GF, then fiance Stephanie (now wife) like complete crap.
 
It is truly eye-opening for teammates to see how the other behaves when the affects of stress and exhaustion come into play this far along in the race. And it always affects the dating couples more than friends or family members. At least Vicki and Steph can see what their mates are like at their absolute worst, as can 11 million Americans and 2+ million Canadians.
And sign me up for the Thomas fan club as well, I'm starting to smell a winning edit (just a hunch) for those two, though I'd certainly be as happy to see B & C win.
 
Okay, Jill & Thomas are being played out like villains in favor of an all-female thing to win this thing. Therefore, I'm going to root for them since EVERYONE else is apparently rooting against them. In reality, I think this will be the order:

1. Brooke & Claire, never underestimate over-enthused people (think last season's brothers)
2. Jill & Thomas, Thomas is the MVP of this season
3. Nat & Kat, underwhelming the last few legs but everyone knows what they're capable of

One thing's for sure, while last season was a stronger season, the final three teams this year are definitely stronger than Season 16 (Remember 'em models?). Any of the three teams winning would be satisfying end to the season.

Also, umm... Thomas in skintight ice-skating gear makes me want to yell "SCREENCAP!".
 
Did someone say Thomas? HE grows more appealing as the season goes on, and last night he was so yummy - climbing the steps to get the Ninja headband - the ice skating. His drs are so sexy. I have to hold myself back from jumping on my tv and kissing his mouth for weeks.

I hope an all female team wins just to get that whole thingie over with and we can get back to races with diverse teams. If it were not for that I would be all over Thomas winning.

Felt bad for Vickie having to leave and glad that Nick is gone. What a drudge that ass dropping is.

The girls from HSN and the Ninja challenge - the blonde on my last nerve.
 
I still don't really have a favorite team this year.

They're all kinda boring. The race has some interesting elements this season that sort of make up for the lack of personality.

I downloaded season 15 from youtube because I enjoyed Sam and Dan telling each other to "shut up bitch" all season.
 
Next season it's All Stars, or maybe not considering the teams they chose
 
You can find out who is racing in AS2 if you wanna search for it - the list I found was kinda disappointing to be honest.

Did you notice how editing didn't even let us think that Nick & Vicki even had a chance - not bothering to show their departure time - if Nick hadn't shut down and taken the 6 hour penalty they would have made the flight with the other teams. Stoopid Nick.

They're no one left whom I dislike but as doctors it would seem that N & K NEED $1M less than the other 2 teams.
