The awkward moment when you and your ex hookup with the same guy

So I recently met this guy and after talking for a while we met twice. The first time we just talked, and yesterday we hooked up.

Turns out he hooked up with my ex as well, the ex I broke up with a few months ago that I haven't completely gotten over. He didn't actually say they hooked up but there were a few comments he made that made me think that and I asked but he denied it. We said we were going to meet today again but, needless to say, I feel awkward and weird and a bit bummed.

So basically just wanted to let it out and say that this is one of the things I don't like of being gay, the fact that you and someone you like/care for/love can feel attracted and hookup with the same person and then there are high chances of you finding out about it. The feeling is a combination of jealousy, disappointment and competition. Have you guys been through anything like this?

I have definitely been through disappointment and jealously, even if my experience was different.
What can I say. Such things will happen, and even though it's difficult to deal with them, our life goes on.

ya. I get a bit jealous or competitive when guys I hook up with tell me about a guy they fucked only to realize its a guy that I have been seeing too. He'll show me the naked pics of the guy and they are the same ones I got. I don't know why I get jealous since we are only fuck buds but it does. I would just rather not know. I live in small town so its very easy for me to find out. I bet every guy on grindr has hooked up in my area. theres only about 15 of us. lol.

Where did I say I was afraid? Now that's assuming. I was just sharing how I felt at the moment and asked if you guys had been through something like that.

It's not always easy to get over someone you have feelings for, if it's possible at all.

I think you need to look at the bigger picture. If it's ok for you to do it why isn't ok for him? It can be a small world indeed when it comes to hooking up.
