I could swear I had posted this before, but cannot find it when searching.

Not too many months ago, I came across a YouTube video of a young German IT worker who taught himself to dance by watching others do it online. Then he fused several styles and created a dance called Electro Swing.

I'm not usually a huge fan of dance, but I've just been mesmerized by this man's ability to float and never miss a beat. And I'm not alone. One of these videos has been viewed 56 million times.

His first videos were back in 2013, and they took off immediately. Not only does he know what works in dance, he knows how to film it with backlighting so as to create effect.

If you've not seen him before, he's known as Just Some Motion, and the given name Sven Otten.

I do not rewatch many videos, but these are an exception.

Enjoy.

Thank you. I remember watching some of this before as well, but it is worth watching again. In addition, besides the dancing, he isn't bad on the eyes.

You know the stereotypical gay guy who dances really well? Well, I'm not one of them. I hate dancing. About 15 years ago or so I dated a professional dancer who made me dance with him. Hated every minute of it. He's now a dance instructor and he performs in competitive dances.

Anyway, regarding your guy there, nice moves. Interesting to watch. Just please don't make me do it!

Well, Opi contacted me with a link. I had indeed posted these back in July, but failed to type the dancer's name since the link took the viewer to the YouTube site which had his name there. So, searching on "Otten" failed to find it when I was looking, and since I posted in the Post Something Worth Watching (or whatever that thread is), I didn't find it searching my own threads.

Apologies for the repeat posting, if not the joy of seeing this man fly. He just doesn't appear to weigh any more than his shadow, or not back when he was in his 20's in 2013, when he began.

I have no idea if he is straight or gay, but I am certain that his dance card is filled.

One more thing. As this style of dance is pretty much based on solo performance, there are times it can be choreographed to be ensemble, and not just in scripted commercials that the performer made subsequent to being discovered.

Here is a duo he did with another famous (straight) performer, which worked quite well, surprisingly:

I imagine that's how I look when jamming out to tunes in my place, although I don't think my feet ever leave the floor and I last for only a minute and a half (then collapse on the couch.) Good thing nobody is around to witness when I do...🕺

Those were quite enjoyable! :)

Now let's see him do it naked.

I'll admit he's cute, but I honestly think the real appeal is his lithe footing. He veritably floats in his early videos, and that backlighting only intensifies the effect.

I believe he is literally the best in the entire world at electro swing. He's not a lightfooted now that he's a decade older, but still crazy talented. I hope he's happy wherever he is.
