They accomplished something the book couldn't do, made the story of romeo and juliet interesting for an hour and a half.
That's impossible.
The story is idiotic, and the style is so pretentiously convolute (full-throttle mannerism) it is repellent in its own right, as much as in relation to a plot involving a pair of supposedly young, fresh and vital lovers.
Compounded with the fact that Leo, and even more Danes, are about as charismatic, interesting and attractive as a Lladró figurine.
