I do like being able to just leave the house in shorts and Tee to go run errands and shopping. And since I'm retired that is about all I wear 6 months out of the year. But I also have a large lawn and yard to take care of. So by this time of the year I'm so ready for the first very hard freeze to stop the grass from growing. A hard freeze is considered 4 consecutive hours of below 28 degrees. Our lowest temp so far has been 29 but that was only for an hour.
So the extra hassle of the cold and sometimes snow and ice is worth it to me, to not have to mow the grass for 4 or 5 months.
