I've seen my share of interesting threads "migrate" to other forums. Even some I've started (or were those Brijan's? Eh.).

It's the inconsistency of it all that bothers me. Some threads get moved, others do not. For example, how is it that "Post A Non-Porn Pic" gets moved to F&G, but "The Roddick" stays in HT? Technically, they're both the same kind of thread aren't they? Not to mention the fact that I'm still somewhat sore that the Sports Bar was moved from the Sports Forum to F&G. Oh well.

Anyhow, I feel your dismay Drew.

guess i need to put on the old thinking cap and come up with a new idea for a thread that will be just as fun, but wont get moved out of hot topics.

just gimme a few to pout a bit...lol

YAY

they re coming back !!!

even if its just for a few more days it is really cool

OOOOOOOOPAHH!!!!

(!) (!) (!) (!) (!) (!) (!)

This really bothers me, too. Case in point ....

Recently a thread was started inviting Jubbers to post childhood pics of themselves next to more recent ones, just for fun. Sadly, it only lasted about three or four posts before it was closed by a mod, who felt it was 'inappropriate' for such a website as this. I had posted a childhood pic of me in the thread and was looking forward to seeing others' contributions, so I was more than a little miffed when the mod removed my pic and closed the thread. However, what really annoyed me was the inconsistency behind these actions, as another, very similar thread had been started last year (or maybe it was the year before) and remained active for several days. It contained lots of great posts and childhood pics submitted by Jubbers, and it certainly did not degenerate into anything that could have been deemed inappropriate.

I can understand, to a certain extent, the mod's concerns, but I feel that he acted way too hastily. Wouldn't it have been fairer just to keep a close eye on the thread to ensure that it stayed 'above board', so that any Jubber who wanted to make a genuine contribution to it could do so? I mean, he didn't even give it a chance! :grrr: :grrr:

Sorry, Andreus, I think I may have semi-hijacked your thread, but I do understand where you're coming from.

Surely if people participate or are interested in a thread then they subscribe to it. Then it doesn't matter where the thread goes as new posts always show up in your "settings".

Or do you mean it will no longer be seen by other members who may participate if they see the thread?

the policy on that has changed, due to recent political developments and sadly also because of some posts here.
