Because of the changes at Twitter, you cannot assume that "a person" posting content is actually a real person. There are a group of Russians and Chinese government employees who are posting disinformation on social media platforms to do exactly what is happening in this thread: causing arguments and division.

There's a kernel of truth: the German government made it easier for German citizens to legally change their gender. That law affected only Germany and it was passed 6 months ago.

"Sybil in the Castle" is likely to be a 20-something contractor sitting in a room in Moscow or Saint Petersburg who is posting this crap to get people to argue and to continue to spread the disinformation.

A post started this thread by posting information from the fake "Sybil in the Castle" thread with a topic to incite an argument.

What is happening in this thread is exactly what Russia wants to happen.

My search for "Lasst Frauen Sprechen" did not generate any results, nor did a search for various word sequences that should have generated results relating to the "Global Protest on Nov 1" that the video suggests would happen. It seemed odd to me that a global event would not be mentioned on the web. Perhaps the absence of links is the result of a deficiency in the browser I use or maybe the Lasst Frauen Sprechen website is not sophisticated enough to have provided keywords to facilitate searches.

The final frames of the YouTube video you posted include a web address for more information, which appears to be Lasst Frauen Sprechen. I had initially disregarded that link, because the video also features what appears to be a Russian-language link imposed at the top of that frame display.




I now conclude that though the YouTube account Sybil in the Castle may be a Russian troll account, the video itself seems to represent the "official" view of the Lasst Frauen Sprechen organization and is available in various languages on that website for dissemination. (I note that the English version video on the website does not feature a Russian link superimposed on the final frame.)

I think Germany makes its case for the law clearly.

The test of any law is in performance.

People will know apparently very quickly whether the law as passed does what it was intended to do...no doubt many eyes will be watching.

Germany doesn't create and pass laws capriciously. Germans are not a capricious sort of people.

I would also note that the Kremlin has a very active campaign to destabilize Germany and install pro-rrrZZZian politicians. PutinCo. has suffered staggering losses with the destruction and permanent end to the Nordstream approach of retaking their lost colonial province.

Expect a barrage of socially divisive disinformation to flood the zone in Europe as the sanctions and isolation takes it toll.

20-somethings wouldn't be on Twitter or Instagram. They would be on TikTok.

The hashtag that she's promoting has backers that include Rowling. If I were a Russian troll, I would create an account that connected me to a celebrity and then I would amplify the hashtag to by doing retweets and creating a set of false protests to make it look like it has more backers and momentum than it actually has. Russia just loves anti-LGBT stuff, so it kills two birds with one trolling stone.

And that's exactly what is happening... and you've played a part in that amplification by posting it here.

Again, those hashtags are 100% grass roots. This is a movement from the bottom up, by women and men (but mostly women) from very young to very old (but mostly 25 to 40), from dozens of countries, on all types of social media from Twitter to Instagram, from Facebook to VK, from reddit and whatsapp to Linkedin and yes, also on TikTok (though many people are not on TikTok on principle). These "fake protests" actually happen, every month, Plaza de Mayo style, every month of the year. And most of the time, lesbians outnumber everyone else.

Oh and yes, Joanne Rowling supports them 100%. She knows her history. She knows the new lobotomy craze when she sees it.

Why is it so difficutl for you to afford trans people some degree of value and dignity? Ask yourself this. I am sure there are professional counsellors out there that could help you work through this.
