It's such an awesome book and movie! Was apprehensive about the idea of an American version, but the trailer looks really amazing..

The author really had a lot of important things to say. Sad that he died before he could see his legacy unfold.

I'm conflicted because I really enjoyed the Swedish films. Parents didn't so much, but I feel like I've watched more subbed movies and am more accustomed to foreign films. I'm sure the American version will be good, but I don't think it will take its time like the Swedish version did (another thing my parents didn't love, even having read the books - could be the common instant gratification need that's ingrained in many of us Americans).

I watched all three of them through Netflix, I guess. At home on HD TV....I was surprised that I didn't mind the subtitles at all...And, I am not looking forward to the American version. Why do it?

I haven't seen the original. I went and saw the American version with my sister and I thought it was great. I'll watch the OG version on Netflix tonight.

Finally! An American version of a Foreign Film, that does NOT suck! I saw it last week. Great work by the actress that played the punk girl. I got the DVD box set of the Tattoo Trilogy--swedish version--for Christmas.......and will start watching that one next week.

The original is better in my opinion and that women is not feminine which Noomi Rapace was (correct me if I'm wrong)
