Are you ready?

I mean those who do not live in permanent lockdown flatland.

You mean because of what?
Because it's August in the Western hemisphere, that's why!

hahaha....totally a European custom.

Certainly here, people take their summer break from the beginning of June right through early September. So every week until mid-september I am missing either a client or consultant to make decisions or get me the info I need.

And then before I know it, hunting season starts.

Yep: Americans are force to drudge more to pay all those heavily taxed bills, so that other people can enjoy their one-week vacation from selling ridiculously overpriced grot every year or so.

In the UK we don't have those summer breaks
Many years ago all the industrial towns would have what was called a July Fortnight. This was when the factories would shut down for two weeks so all the staff could go and have a holiday, usually in the nearest seaside town. It was also the time when machinery would be serviced.
With the decline of industrial manual processes the July Fortnight was no longer needed.
When I first moved to Leicester in 1990 they still shut down for two weeks and the company I worked for forced us to take annual leave then. It was probably one of the last times it was used.

We do not either... yet everything is drained to a certain degree and in a certainway during August... actually, since Mid July...
It's funny how the ultimately least important elements in society (students, libraries...) have an apparent greater influence in public life (crowds, smaller businesses...) when they take their leave...

First day of official lockdown "everywhere"...

Only essential essentials are open

And I do not mean Felix Fox 🫢🤢

I wonder whether Americans swarming over BCN notice it much during their European experience...

Do your boy toys keep working or are they off to exotic destinations with their sugar daddies?

You ask whether hos come to exotic BCN for Circuit sugars...

I purposedly dosed myself with a ho indigestion last spring, and the RM listings for upcoming arrivals are not disproving AT ALL my (-nth) disappointment with the business.

So far, I am profiting of lockdown time quite well... getting rid of the last book corpses... It's as if school had already started for me.

BCN is as exotic as Cleveland Ohio 🤣🤣🤣

I would note that many more people are away this week than usual here in the wilds of Ontario.

I am expecting a relatively quiet week to get shit done while all the hoi polloi are at their cottages on the lakes because of the long holiday weekend.
