i watched "The Happening' tonite......it was pretty disappointing, the concept behind it was ok, but the acting was really really bad. The whole time i was watching it, i kept thinking "Does marky mark act this badly?........no....he was fine in "shooters". What did ya think of the movie?

You're gonna sound nicer than me. I really, really wanted to walk out, and the only reason I stayed was because I thought I would somehow magically gain my $8.75 back in the last oh 20 or so minutes of the movie. The Happening? Nothing happened.... Honestly, I didn't think it was worth a dollar.

I've been Shyamalaned for the last time

well, i wanted to see if there was some sort of twist at the end of the movie, but i was also interested too see how some of the people will kill them self. The guy getting ran over by a lawnmower was the most entertaining death

Hahaha. This guy want so badly to be Stephen King. After Lady in the Water, I knew this guy was a joke.

Damn, and I thought he was going to get out of his slump he's been in since The Village and Lady in the Water. It has been nothing but a gradual downhill of quality of his movies ever since The 6th Sense which is his only real claim to fame. I guess he's officially a has-been now, living off his reputation from 6th Sense.

I thought it was ok, based mainly on the fact that it gave me an excuse to stare at Mark for a couple hours. (and he's almost twice my age;))

I saw it last night, along with The Incredible Hulk.

It was very weird and yes it won't win any oscars for acting.

It had some funny lines, and some thrilling moments.

I would say wait for the DVD or if it plays on cable.

The sad part is that he could actually be a great director if he didn't insist on writing his own movies. Because he definitely knows how to make the atmosphere taut with emotion and he definitely knows how to frame a shot but his writing abilities just suck.

Wahlberg acted badly because he's always been a one note actor. I've never seen him outside the tough guy (usually one from Boston) role. I never understood why he was so praised in general. That being said, he knows how to choose roles to keep a successful career.

M. Night Shamalamadingdong lost all credibilty with The Village, and Signs, while interesting, was mostly crap.

Just watched it, I really thought this one would be good... but it was absolutely horrid. The acting was ridiculous, I honestly cant believe they let that go to theatres.

The writing in this movie alone is worth sweeping the razzies.

It was kind of like stealing the day of the Triffids and just doing it much worse

Glad to see I was not the only one. I thought this movie was just awful! It had the stupidest and most ridiculously far-fetched plot I have seen in a long while and the acting was just atrocious....especially the actress in the wife role. If you have not seen this yet, don't waste your money. Go see The Hulk...it was much better than I anticipated.

thx for the heads up, I was just about to go and see this movie but everyone saying its shit so cbf going and watching it now

Are you fucking kidding me? Please tell me that is a fucking joke.

Yeah and my favorite part is when I listen to Mark Wahlberg's interviews and he attempts to say that the events really could happen.
