They seem to be two brothers on a rampage. Such horror.

Ten dead, fifteen wounded, from knife attacks. The police are already suspecting not all were randomly targeted. The attacks occurred on a Cree reservation north of Regina.

Evil is a powerful force.

You have to be especially messed up to get close to a person with a knife and start stabbing them to death, and even children. Sick.

Omg - I saw the breaking news about this while I was searching for details about the shooting at a weekend house party in my hometown of Norfolk, Virginia.

I fear we are living in times that increase the likelihood of this happening, not only in the U.S., although we'll certainly remain the worst of the worst with our attitudes of person entitlement coupled with our obscene quantities of military-grade death weapons in the hands of civilians with anger issues.

One wonders why the vague report. He seems to have either stabbed himself or slit his own throat as he was overtaken.

What's so hard about simply saying that and moving on. It doesn't glorify it. And it's almost obvious that one or the other happened, so why be coy?

A tragic end to a tragic spree. At least the families will be spared the ordeal of a trial and the injustice of a "life" sentence.

One of the CBC stills showed him arrested against the side of the vehicle, cuffed behind, so he obviously didn't slit his throat or stab himself. Maybe he swallowed poison before they reached him.

It will be interest to read what the inquest determines. Unlikely an act of God.
