Apparently this dramedy is getting great reviews:

I specially love this part of the review (or a shoutout to our resident lesbian;)):

Bening and Moore are simply fantastic and manage to inhabit realistically a devoted, long-term couple with all its casual gestures of love and corrosive bickering (Bening is the organized stickler, Moore the more free-wheeling touchy-feely type). The movie is full of funny scenes and dialogue, and no shortage of R-rated graphic sex. All are combined when their fifteen-year-old son makes a discovery and asks them why, as lesbians, they watch male gay porn together. Moore’s attempted explanation as Bening looks on, frozen, is side-splitting.

I can't wait :gogirl::gogirl:

This year's nominations aren't out yet. Carrying momentum for these ladies from now till next year is next to impossible. You have to be Martin Scorsese or a recently deceased actor playing a batman villain.

Doesn't mean they won't be deserving, (I love Bening) but Oscar voters usually have short term memory. They'll nominate actors whose movies came out no earlier than fall.

You don't understand, this movie was just premiered at the Sundance Festival, were it will be bought for distribution by a studio. The distribution will come probably in the Fall, just ripe for the Awards accolades.

For example, the woman who most certainly will win the Best Supporting Actress Oscar this year also had her movie premiered at the Sundance Festival last year, were that movie got rave reviews. It was released in the Fall.

I sure hope and think that one of them should be campaigned Lead and the other Supporting, so that both of them get their Oscars.

Thanks for the info. That would better their chances.

I agree that Bening and Moore are both waaaaaay overdue for Oscars. Frankly, Moore should have won for Far From Heaven and Bening should have got hers for Being Julia.

At any rate, I do hope the film is fantastic and whatever studio picks it up for distribution will do right by its stars and actually promote and push it!!!!

Post #9...and #11.....

Is that our Elvin releasing his inner troll

or are his tighty whities to tight tonight?

Julianne Moore has been in both "Magnolia" and "Children of Men", two of the greatest films of the last 15 years. And required multiple viewing in the world according to Joshua.

It's about time she was recognized for the goddess she is....

I like Moore. I don't really like the top Hollywood "elites" like Bening or people like McClaine. They're so fucking typical.

What about Julie Christie and Diane Keaton?
