Britney Spears has been dumped by her manager. In a statement released late on Monday, revered Hollywood svengali Jeff Kwatinetz has confirmed he and his partners at top agency The Firm have "terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears." The news came hours after Spears' lawyer, Laura Wasser, quit the singer's child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Kwatinetz, who represented Kelly Clarkson until she fired him earlier this year, adds, "We believe Britney is enormously talented... but current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job." The manager's decision to quit comes a week after Spears' disastrous appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas, where she seemed out of shape and out of practice as she opened the show with new single "Gimme More."

Britney Spears may have drawn criticism for her seemingly lethargic performance on the MTV Video Music Awards, but her new single, "Gimme More," is racing up the charts at top 40 radio.

The cut posted the most increased plays on R&R's CHR/Top 40 chart for a second straight week (up 976 spins) and climbs 25-20 on the tally.

I'm pretty sure she can get a new manager. I loved the performance. I think it was well done. Exept for the lip singing. But her performances are simply about that....the performance. I think she looked amazing and i dont think she looked over weight or anything at all. Besides the hair she looked amazing!!! I love britney and cant wait for the album!!!!!! its going to be HOT!!!!!!!
 
i didn't like the performance (again talking about it), she wasn't there.

gimme more is doing good, but need more promo....but jive...and britney :roll:
 
What is Jive doing?

They release the single so early and don't even put out the video. By the time it goes to itunes people might be over it. This comeback is so unorganized.

No promo pics. Everything is so messy.

I love Brit but i really dont think she is ready. And she doesnt seem serious.


Why does Kevin even want custody of the babies? I mean they can still be breast fed yet he wants to take them away?


Tell me something! Why didn't Kevin sue Shar Jackson for full custody of the 3 kids he has with her?
