I purchased it a few weeks ago (GCube version)and I'm 20hrs into it. I finished the Goron Mines and now I'm at Lake Hyrule stuck on the bridge. So far the boss battles have been somewhat easy. I had a very hard time with the goblin at Hyrule Field but mostly the puzzles have been easy to figure out. After this boss I'm going back to the Forest Temple and get the treasure chests I missed. My opinion is that the game is similar to Windwaker but I've also read that it's similar to Ocarina of Time. Aiming at targets has been a bit more forgiving since I think it was made for the Wii first then mirrored for the GC. I could be wrong, but I don't think accuracy is a must. The game is beautiful, the scenery is lush and dark. I do like that Link is mature, it gives the game a modern feel. He's not your typical Nintendo cartoony character. Wolf Link has been easy to maneuver but sometimes I've gotten a bit confused while fighting.

i actually bought this game yesterday with my wii but its still packed!
i have been hookmed onto red steel tbh

I would say Nintendo finally made a Zelda game better then Ocarina of time.

I think if you want to be fair, u can only really compare Twilight Princess to Ocarina of time. In my opinion Ocarina had a better story line, but Twilight was darker and more mature. Now i would not say its an adult game, but it's definately not as ''kiddy'' as the previous Zelda games.

The General, I was trying to find other games like Zelda, but i really can't find one that's every thing Zelda is. Only better. Mainly i'm concerned with graphic details, i long to see the land of Hyrule in HD. :)
Anyway, if u think u've got a more adult or better looking Zelda-ish game pls let me know cause im looking.

I really enjoyed Twilight Princess, but it needed more shirtless Link.

I like games like Zelda too, they are hard to find. I really don't like turn based RPG's like FF or the one I've played Grandia II. I bought Ocarina of Time/Master Quest for GC last year but I haven't played yet because I was playing Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. When I finished I started Star Fox Adventures but I'm {{{stuck}}} in a puzzle in that one so I ditched it for now and I'm playing Twilight Princess. I started out playing on our HD tv but since have moved back into my room and playing on my regular tv. It looks great in HD! It's almost surreal. Oh, the only complaint so far is too many cut scenes and the load times.

What I'm looking for is Metroid Prime but so far I haven't found it at my near by EB games. I have the demo of MP Hunters that came with my DS and when I played I was like, this needs to be played on TV!

I cant say for sure that I like it more than Ocarina, but I definitely love Twilight Princess. And yeah, this is a Gamecube game that was mirrored on the Wii, not the other way around.

when i do get a chance to open my twilight princess i will let you guys know my opinion my freidn goes its a well good game, lets see if it lives up to my expectations but i seriously am addicted to red steel.

I actually did play Zelda TP on an HDTV, but it was way too blurry. So, Instead of using the cables that the Wii console came with, I got these other cables (component cables I think) to hook it up to my HDTV and it looked much better :) It was not HD quality though.

See, the cables the wii comes with only outputs 480i video and if you get the other cables (component i think) the video output quality goes up to 480p. The difference is like watching a movie that is being broadcast on regular TV (480i) and watching the same movie on DVD (480p)

My point is, when I said I longed to see the land of Hyrule in HD, I meant I wish they had made the game high detail and in HD quality video (1080i or 1080p); like the way games look on an XBOX 360 or a PS3. I guess I can only wait and hope that Nintendo goes HD in the near future and that they keep Zelda going. Zelda TP was still awesome though, even withouth HD. When i finished Zelda TP I pertty much was done with the Wii (lol). I ocasionally use the Wii to play Zelda TP again, NES Zelda, NES Mario Bros., Wii Sports, and mostly web browsing. I will use it more frequently when they start puting out the new Mario games :)

I just beat TP last night. I loved it...but it wasn't the best for me...but you have to know me to know why I say that. See...I like a game with AMAZING boss fights. I hate having to go through a hard ass dungeon...then fighting a lame ass boss. *cough* OoT: Water temple *cough* Anyway... I will say this...Tp has 3 of the best boss fights in any Zelda game... Stallord(This was IMO the best boss/ most fun boss battle of any Zelda game...the spinner is such a cool weapon and made this boss battle stand out to me), Blizzetta ( I loved the music and the visuals of this boss...and you get to beat her ass with the ball and chain...2nd best) and Zant (This was cool because it changed stages and he gets crazy on the last stage... not 3rd but def. on the top 5 of Zelda bosses.) The other bosses were pure garbage. The lakebed temple boss was nothing but a copy of the OoT: Water Temple boss...with like one additon.

My List of Top 10 Zelda bosses:
1. Stallord-TP
2. Blizzetta-TP
3. Majora's Mask- MM
4. Zant-TP
5. Bongo Bongo- OoT
6. Twinrova- OoT
7. Puppet Ganon- WW
8. Barinade- OoT
9. THE GUARDIAN-WW
10.Voligagia (or what ever the fire temple boss was.) OoT

Yea...Ocerina of Time didn't have the best bosses...but it has most of my favs.

But yea...thats my opinion. ^_^

Did you like Final Boss: Ganon in Oot? The whole battle seemed really long the first time I played it, but i thought it would have been top 10.

Also did you like the dragon you fight in TP in the sky temple? I thought it was a little too easy, but it looked so cool! Makes me wish it was in HD :(
