I bought "The Little Mermaid" on DVD yesterday and saw it at night. I'm sure I'd seen it before but I didn't really remember it. The moment it started and Ariel started singing I knew that this was one of the best movies I'd ever seen. I don't know what it is about it but it's just so simple yet grand at the same time. I wanna see it again already.

I spend a while searching Ebay because I really want "Beauty and the Beast" on DVD, since they discontinued it in stores. No luck yet but I'll keep looking.

Do you guys have a favorite Disney Fairy Tale movie?

Mine is definitely Beauty and the Beast but The Little Mermaid is definitely 1.5.

Classic - Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. I still feel someone singing my song when she sings 'Someday My Prince Will Come'. And I get all happy when the dwarfs sing Hi-Ho.

I have to admit that The Little Mermaid revived my faith in Disney animation pictures - it gave us a happy ending, unlike the original story..

And when Ariel sings 'Part of your world' - I get mushy a bit.

Omg this is my fave disney movie EVER!!! When I heard it was FINALLY coming to DVD about a year ago I was soo happy. I got it the day it came out but I have not watched it yet.

My favourite is "Snow White"....every frame pure magic and that wonderful score; then comes "Pinnochio" and.....ah well, all of them really! "Bambi" has to be there along with Thumper! Just great timeless movies.

Sans doute Sleeping Beauty. Tchaikovsky's score, three good fairies, and the greatest Disney villain ever--Melificent.

You poor unfortunate soul,
Flotsam, Jetsam, now I've got her boys!

Those two eels made the movie cool.

And my favorite part is the steel drums in
Under the Sea, Under the Sea,
Darling it's better, down where it's wetter,
Take it from me!
Up on the shore they work all day,
Out in the sun they slave away

I think the Jungle Book is my favorite Disney movie but since I havent seen it since I was a kid I cant remember if I really did like it or I just think I did. But I bought LIttle Mermaid the other day when it came out and my friends and I watched it like little eager kids.

I loved my redheaded Ariel, I watched that movie over and over and over again when I was little.

my favs "pocahontas" "Beauty and The Beast" " the lion king" and mulan xD! and anastasia is not from disney but i really loved that film

oh and my fav song is colors of the wind (pocahontas) xD!

My favourite "Disney fairytale" is Sleeping Beauty, for all the reasons pjlikesporn has mentioned - Maleficient is the best Disney villaness ever, but Ursula comes a close second.

My favourite ever Disney classic still has to be Peter Pan though - it's the "flying" thing for me :D

The songs from Aladdin rock too. Prince Ali, Friend Like Me, One Jump ahead, Arabian nights, and A Whole New World... I listen to them in my car. The songs from The Return of Jafar aren't as hott though.

Oh my gosh my favorite Disney movies of all time are definitely "101 Dalmations" and "The Lion King." I also love two of the most underrated Disney movies of all time-"Mulan" and "The Emperor's New Groove"; both are classics in my eyes and I wish they were as big as the other classics.

Also, I love Toy Story and all those other great Pixar/Disney movies, but isn't it sad that they're practically not going to make hand-drawn cartoons anymore like "The Little Mermaid" "Lion King" "Alice & Wonderland"???? I wish today's animated films weren't all CGI all the time. I miss the classics......

i love the little mermaid too, it made me cry when i was younger, also i love little mermaid 2, i cannot remember what the song called but it was a song both melody and areil sing together

I like all Disney movies except Bambi. That shit was just wrong. I always used to cry when I was little. What little kid wants to see a movie where someone's mother gets killed.Kids look upon their mothers as god when they are young.
