The new iPod (possibly)

ANOTHER one?! Goddammit, would they WAIT for us to buy an Ipod before they keep replacing it with a new model?
 
I like the iPod interface and exterior design, but I've seen a side by side comparison of the Creative video player and the iPod video and the creative screen looks better in comparisonn. They also say that Apple stole their interface.
 
When they get rid of the damned cheap plastic that scratches so easily... then they can come up with a touch-screen version. First it was the defective batteries (1st generation) that gave a moderately used iPod a lifetime of under a year, now it's the cheap plastic. When will the idiots at iPod get the blasted thing right the first time around rather than continually pumping out new, exorbitantly priced defects.
 
iPods suck so much, I'ved used one and I would rather use a normal MP3 player that you can use on different computers without losing your SONGS! Die iPod!

I think you can change the settings in itunes so it only updates your ipod when you click and drag songs. I used to have this problem with my own computer, for some reason all the files would not transfer everytime I charged the battery and I would end up with what seemed to be randomly selected songs A-Z. The only problem is is that you would have to lose your songs at least once because the options screen for ipod only becomes active after connecting to the computer.
 
I love my iPod as well as iTunes. Sure every now and then I have problems with the store but they are easily resolved after I send them an email.

And I don't believe that the iPod is that hard to use. What's so hard about a small wheel with four buttons on it? I learned to use it the moment I saw it on display at the store for the first time and I just started to play with it.

I think I've dowloaded 15GB worth of stuff from iTunes so far, granted some of the things are Podcasts, trailers, and free stuff so not all of it has cost me money.
 
I am so excited for the new iPod. It's coming out early 07 I think. Does anyone here have the 2nd Generation Shuffle? I just got it a few days ago (I own 5 iPods now! YAY me!). It's is too practical. You have no idea. Just clip it on and go! It's insane!
 
I really like the way the 2nd gen. shuffle looks,maybe I'll buy one soon. If theres a new ipod coming out soon that be great and I'll finally upgrade. My current ipod is still working just fine though.
 
I've got four of them. One I use as a portable harddrive that I can edit movies with.. it's amazing.
 
They need to stop updating them so often. I just recently got the LAST iPod video and now it's already obsolete.
 
:grrr: I agree with that. I only scraped enough money together to buy the IPOD PHOTO about six months ago, then WHAM !! They release the IPOD VIDEO and THEN the 30 and 80 G models as well. What really ticked me off though is that the sales person did not inform me that the newer models would be released so soon, otherwise I would have waited and bought the 80 G model instead. On the upside though the 30 G is coming down in price here in Oz now, so soon I'll be able to upgrade as my old 20G has continually broken down on me by no fault of my own. Four times I already had to take it back to get a replacement, and the Apple people will only let me exchange it for a new 20G and not give me a 30G at a reduced price for my trouble. Anyone else have their IPOD break down continually like mine has/is ? Drives me ](*,) :cry: .
