The Pet Shop Boys

Now I ask you, when does a techno pop duo called “the Pet Shop Boys” who have been around for so many years stop being referred as “Boys”?

Friday night I saw these guys on the CBS late late show and these guys look like they are ready for the old folks home, Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed their music and they were great in their heyday but lets face it, these guys are old, they have gray hair, paunchy bellies and more then a few “crows feet” around the eyes plus when they walked off stage I was sure I heard bones creaking.

They should change the name to something else, any suggestions?

Why would they change their name? The Rolling Stones are gathering moss, but you don't see them changing their name. Don't expect them to anytime soon, either.

It's like New Kids On The Block eventually called themselve NKOTB.

I'm ok with them being still Pet Shop Boys. Any idea how did they come up with the name?

Sure, as long as you don't hold the 'queens' to a higher standard than you do the 'kings', let them *all* grow up.
