does anyone know why my smilies have STOPPED MOVING?
They were happy animated littte buggars the other day - and suddenly they stopped moving - except for hands clapping guy - and now he's stopped too..
 
pressing escape would be one reason, but then they should continue at the next page.

empty your cache/delete your temporary internet files and they should be moving again.

UMMM....did that a couple of times - over past few days - but sadly - they are stil not breathing ! sigh !
 
You may have killed them! They seem to be working OK for me.

It's not anything to do with your browser settings I suppose?

If you're using IE, and recently upgraded to IE8,

1:click tools in your browser
2:click Internet options
3:click advanced tab
4: scroll down to the Multimedia section
5:check play animations in web-page
6:apply
7:restart IE for the changes to take place.

If you're using Firefox or anything else, then I haven't a clue. Might be worth opening a thread in the Tech Forum, or doing a bit of 'googling'!

GEE,, for a moment i thought you had it ! -- i noticed that i had and additional AVG toolbar - that i didn't intentionally install - (mad mouse -) so i managed to get rid of it and reboot but - sadly - still dead..

it's really strange -- when they stopped moving - the clapping hands guy and one other one were still moving - then they stopped too - especially strange that only 2 out of the bunch would stil be working.. Just kinda worried that something else is gonna go haywire !!

There is always the 'use another browser' option. I have IE, Firefox and Safari on my XP laptop. Since the end of May, I've graduated to using Firefox, as it seems to do the stuff I want it to do. Safari's kinda primitive and I don't like the look and feel of it.
 
Strangely enough the other evening after I'd visited this thread, my dancing banana stopped dancing! Its back to getting on down again now, but I just thought I'd mention it!
