What? Me? Really?
The risk of tragedy increases when one pushes the limits that mother nature imposes.
Or, more exactly in this case, ignores the known limits of materials and design in submersibles, and arrogantly dismisses the issues directly affecting pressure mitigation for very deep diving.
Think about the folly. Tourists can understandably be forgiven for not challenging the safety of a commercial scuba diving company. But, for deep ocean dives, the risks are almost on the scale of outer space travel, so it is still stunning that billionaires bought into the bullshit barker hype of the CEO, and that a mother let her teen descend. I wonder how old Jacques Cousteau's children were before he allowed them to go into very deep dives.
