I'm just wondering if anyone else watches The View. I admit, it's a guilty pleasure, but I've started DVR-ing it everyday. Now, I like Rosie O'Donnell, I know a lot of people don't, but I've always liked her.

I hope they get another big name to replace Star Jones as the fifth co-host.

I like Rosie too. I hope they don't get anyone to replace Star. The 4 ladies are enough to deal with.

I love the View! I don't have many gay stereotypes, but watching the View is definitely one of them. I don't have cable in my dorm, so I bought an antenna just so I could watch the View with Rosie. CTV is the only channel I get and luckily that's the channel the View is on. So I DVR it on my computer everyday.

I think I started watching the View before I even knew I was gay. I remember flipping channels one night over 5 years ago and I saw Barbara Walters on TV at 2am. The Buffalo, NY affiliate of ABC aired The View at 2am at the time. I knew of Barbara Walters because my parents always watched 20/20 every Friday night. So I stayed on that channel and have been addicted to the View ever since.

I'll admit it too. I used to watch The View before and if I missed it I didn't really care. But now I definitely DVR it, because of Rosie. I just can't get enough of Hot Topics, especially when anyone bags on President Bush and you can see Elizabeth's discomfort. I love it.

Yeah, I was going to stop watching, but when I heard Rosie was coming on, I HAD to see it even though I knew I wouldn't have cable! Her talk show was one of the first I ever watched and I was just learning I was gay when she came out. That made me feel like I wasn't the only one at the time.

The best part about Rosie on the show is that she talks about her kids and partner all the time and it's not big deal. It's nice to see.

The View has definitely improved since Star left and Rosie joined. I used to really enjoy Star but she had changed in the last year, while I've always loved Rosie on her show and now this one. I gave up Price is Right so I can watch the View which is at the same time.

Wow. I guess I'm the only one who doesn't love Rosie on the show right now. I think this will be the tranisition period for her...from coming from a host to become a co host. She kinda annoys me when she speaks over the other ladies. And even more so when she Joy makes a joke and Rosie goes "She shoots! She Scores!"

I think in a few weeks, she'll be good but right now it's just too much Rosie. She has to get in her groove.

I love The View. This doesn't much to do with the topic, but if you get the chance to go to YouTube, watch Kathy Griffin talk about being on the View. It's a clip from her DVD "allegedly"...made me laugh so hard.

Wow, I've been watching the View since forever. Imagine a little gay 14 year old high school Freshmen watching these older women discussing womanly problems and the politics of the day all while having a segment on the latest tupperware-that was me! :) I love Rosie and I'm glad she's back on tv as well.

I totally agree. Although I really like Rosie, I think she is too assertive, cutting everyone off! I hope she will tone down abit.

Each time I watch it, I keep wondering if they are doing any focus groups on the new season. I'm sure alot of people are getting annoyed by her overbearingness. I don't think that she's doing it because she's a bitch. I think it's just the only thing she knows.

I really do hope that they keep Joy on the show. If they get rid of her, I won't be able to watch it anymore.

lol that sounds just like me as well!

I'm guilty on this charge as well....i admit to watching the view occasionally, however i have to add this qualifier to it...lol....I only watch the "hot topics" section and hear the differing opinions of the hosts on the current events in the world. Once the guests start appearing, I change the channel.

That's pretty much what I do, too.

I've yet to actually see the show with her on it....I'm never home when it's
on....I've got to remember to record it one of these days.

But, what I *have* seen is all the conservative talk show hosts, (O' Rilly
and such) practically blow a gasket talking about how ill-informed she is...

Pish Posh.

If anything, that makes me love her more. The show is called 'The View',
hence...her 'views', I'm sure, will be on full display.

I don't agree with everything she has to say, but I do know she has done more for everything from the light...'Broadway' To the serious... Red state
acceptance of same sex couple adoptions than most anyone I can think of...

More power to her.
