I don't follow football at all, I honestly don't even know which team is playing The Saints (and I only know about them because of all the Katrina talk about the team), But I tuned in to see The Who, one of my all time favorite music acts. I have to say it was better than I thought they would be, I saw them live a couple years back and the show was average at best, Daltrey's voice was shot, but he sounded much better tonight. The set list was fairly predictable, but you knew that going in what it would have been. I know there was some controversy about the show because of Townshend's child porn issues but I'm glad they were able to get that past them and put on a good, rocking show.

The music was good. But some of the vocals sounded painful. Especially Pete's.

I cant believe we still have to suffer all these old school halftime performers. It's like we cant have anyone under 60 since we saw Janet Jackson's titty. One of my favorite hlaftime shows was aerosmith, nsync, britney spears, mary j blige, etc. Why not have something like that again. The commercial blew big time as well.

I think that the powers that be whose job it is to supply entertainment for the half time show are in a tough spot because the game is so massive that you need to find a musical act that is well known, popular and has stood the test of time. Your not going to see Kings of Leon performing, as great as they are. Quite frankly I think its been geezer time for awhile now but short of a Led Zepplin reunion, there's not much left after The Who, Springsteen, Aerosmith, McCartney, Prince, etc. The only relatively young rock music acts with some mass appeal that I can think of off the top of my head are Green Day and Foo Fighters. I don't think they are going to put on any hip hop acts anytime soon, or go the sugary pop route with Miley Cyrus or The Jonas Brothers and their ilk. Personally I think an act like My Chemical Romance would be provocative and daring, they are magnificent live, but alas it'll never happen.

You do know that most of Aerosmith are at least 60, including Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, yes?

The Who wasn't the same as they were at their peak but could we expect them to be. I don't know. I adore classic rock, and I can't ever foresee a situation where I'd rather to listen to some mass produced auto-tuned generic pop bimbo over genuine rock legends.

I love Janet, but it was her titty's fault that we are stuck with these crusty old men to perform. Ever since then they have been uptight about everything. Don't get me started on selection of commericals. Doritos must really be spending the coins and kissing ass.

I understand that but it was aerosmith with other people. Now it's just older people by themselves. I liked it better when they represented all age groups .

You sir have the best gif ever

now I like the Who, but the NFL really needs to get over Janet Jackson's titty already

when I think of the halftime show, I think high priced spectacle (though in a good way)...this was just the Who playing the songs all the CSI shows use as well as a couple more... the Prince one last year was good (even though I thought he was gonna electrocute himself in all that rain)

here's hoping for better next year (as well as another Saints super bowl win)

WHO DAT!

People are still talking about the 2 seconds from 6 years ago?!? Seriously, it's time to move on...and you can thank those who complained for the outcome of this. All 500,000 of them.
