i'm curious to see what everyone has to say about the wreckers.
if you dont know who they are, its a country duo consisting of michelle branch and long time best friend and kansas city native jessica harp.
their album stand still, look pretty is doing very well on both country and billboard charts and their first single leave the pieces has been number one for a while on the country charts. they just released a new single called my, oh my. personally i love these girls, im by no means a country music fan, but i have been a big jessica harp fan for a long time, check out her solo stuff if you into acoustic music, but together their wonderful and its not too country. anyway here is their new video for my oh my..

OK - I officially love you. I EFFING LOVE THEM.
My, Oh My is an AWESOME song. We have it in rotation where I live. 'Leave The Pieces' was good too. I love Cigarettes, Tennessee...ugh the entire album is wonderful. Their voices blend so well together that it makes me wanna cry lol.

i know i know.
i saw them live a month or so ago
i got really good pics if youre interested.
but yeah tennessee has to be my favorite song, but i love them all so much.
they covered strawberry wine in concert and it was amazing.
they are worth seeing live if you can.

Grr. Nobody ever tours near me. Hell, I had to drive 8 hours to Tampa to see Mariah lol. She's lucky I love her and that she put on a helluva show or I'd be pissed lol.

im glad to hear you give the mariah tour a positive review.. i heard nothing, but bad things about it myself..
ps: i think cigarettes is my myspace song right now lol

CIGARETTES is a classic song. The entire album is just classic country. Country is too poppy nowadays and its good to hear a good ORIGINAL country artist hit the scene. Michelle ROCKS!

Honestly, I think I would be biased, but my sister wouldn't. She introduced me to Mariah in 1993 and since then I'm off the charts as a fan lol. I love her TOO much. My sister, on the other hand, just dropped MC like a bad habit after Butterfly. My sister was impressed by her 100% LIVE vocals, and she actually HIT the notes. Not all the time, but the important ones that give you chills. Yeah, the DJ Clue part where he spun records while she changed was boring, but she could have farted into a microphone and I'd have been happy LOL. If my sis thought it was good, then I KNOW she put on an awesome show. Of course I cried the first 3 songs cause I had waited like 13 years to see her but nonetheless, I was so into the concert that anything I'd say would be so biased lol.

I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE HER! Her CD is off the charts man. NOTHING IN THIS WORLD and JEALOUSY and SCREWED and STARS ARE BLIND are my children! I LUST THEM. Okay, that sounded bad, but whatever. I'm glad Nicole and her are friends again. Theyre so much better as a pair!

LOL I saw that. I thought Nothing In This World was a good follow-up...but I guess not lol. People just don't take her seriously at anything anymore :(

I love Michelle Branch never saw someone from solo go into a group its usually the other way around.

The wreckers are totally awesome. I've always loved michelle and all she has did. Her and Jessica sound awesome together and they seem like they've found their nitch in this country/pop sound.

LOVE the Wreckers! Saw them a few weeks ago in Boston! They were amazing...been a fan of both of them for many years and never got the chance to see them live(except for like 2 songs from Michelle at a Radio station show) but wow they were great together such stage presence and chemistry!

if you guys are digging the sorta duel vocal country/rock/pop sound they have check out Lady Antebellum on myspace. If you're familiar with the singer Josh Kelley, this is his younger brother Charles(also a solo artist) his new country group with Hilary Scott and Dave Hayward they have some great tunes! www.myspace.com/ladyantebellum

I haven't heard them, but I did scan their cd into the library once and it peaked my interest. I like Michelle Branch, just not live. I don't think she sounds good. If you ever heard her on the Tabula Rasa episode of Buffy, she was terrible.

But the stuff on her cd's when it's all polished is enjoyable music. I've never heard of the other girl though. I'll give the CD a listen when I get the chance.
