Wow that was a really unfortunate way to talk to him. Passing notes is for middle school. Next time you should probably try talking to him and figure out what language he speaks before assuming he's "no Inglés." He could actually have been insulted by that.
If I were you I'd probably give up at this point, out of sheer embarrassment if nothing else. Continuing to go after him after he's already declined your invitation really borders on the obsessive. If he's interested in any capacity he'll let you know.
