News stories when some event breaks or arrest is made, etc., and the media outlet literally NEVER follows the story to conclusion. MANY online, published, and broadcast sources do this, basically reducing the news to "SQUIRREL!"

Another is the intentional removal of detail when reporting news. MANY sources will remove specific detail to use vague references to sources or persons, e.g., "a famous Chinese emperor once said," instead of "renounced Tang Dynasty emperor, Taizong, once said." Over and over this occurs, when the author obviously knew the specific, and referred to it generally, but withheld the detail, using no less words to say it. The implication is the reader is either too lazy to care, or isn't smart enough to understand, etc.
