Besides Monument Valley, Walnut Canyon, The Grand Canyon, The Four Corners and The Painted Desert, what would you recommend to take pictures of?

When I was out in northern Arizona, the most spectacular places I remember besides the ones you’ve mentioned, are Sunset Crater, the San Francisco (Mt. Humphries) Peaks, the Meteor Crater, and the Petrified Forest. I think Sunset Crater might be the most underrated attraction in the whole area. It is a mountain formed from volcanic ejecta which rises above the land surface. The San Francisco Peaks is a three-peaked mountain that dominates the area and can be seen for many miles. Usually they’re snow-covered, and you really don’t have to get too close (within a few miles) to take its picture. The mountain looks disappointingly small in the photos I took quite a few years ago, but I noticed that today’s cell phones allow you to zoom in on the feature you want with no degradation in detail quality.
The Meteor Crater is a spectacular sight, especially when you realize it was formed by the impact of a meteor from above outer space. And you can take the pictures of the Petrified Forest. I would suggest taking a few closeup pics of the brilliantly colored petrified wood.
Sedona
Had a wonderful time with friends at Lake Havasu City back in 1979. Very photogenic, especially in the evening.
