This Party sucks...

I think I would have to leave, and find an even better party, unless there was the chance of meaningless sex, then I may stay, but only for the sex, not the chips, which in the UK would be called Crisps anyway, not chips! Weird.

Seeing as I only go to parties thrown by people I know and like...I doubt the chips and dip would throw me off.

What's Chips and dip gotta do with being a vegetarian?

I mean I could see the dip, if you're a vegan maybe....

But seriously what is this thread really about?

It is not about just the chips. I once went to a party, more than 8 years ago, where everything was opened out of cans, tubs, and mass processed. I just generally do not eat stuff like that. I almost never go to fast food restaurants, eat no meat, and I don't drink sodas, etc. Processed foods are normally full of all kinds of chemicals, greasy, and high in fat. I'm kind of a picky eater. Really, I would probably just politely say that I was not hungry or make up some other excuse. I have been to a lot of parties and this has not happened since.

I was at a party once where one of the guests in a not so soft voice complained that the stocked spirits were of a lesser brand than what he was used to and would have much preferred.

Several other guests quickly put him in his place (Aussies will tend to do that) and reminded him that he was lucky to be invited in the first place. If he was so particular about his brand of booze, then bring his own rather than sponge off someone who most likely was not going to be able to afford groceries the following week because they blew their meagre budget by wanting to share the little they had with friends for the night.

From memory this person very quickly disappeared from the local party scene. Probably finished up at home drinking their preferred label on their own and at their own expense.
