Hey guys,
This is kind of embarrassing (and maybe in the wrong section...it's not really an ailment...), but I'm absurdly ticklish. There is no laughing when I am tickled. If I am standing, my knees buckle and I fall to the floor, thrashing. My boyfriend and I were getting intimate and I had to try hard not to knee him in the chest. It's stupid, but it's kind of a big problem. Any suggestions as to how I can calm my tickle reflex?
Thanks!

Ah, ticklishness... I know it well. I'm incredibly ticklish in my waist area and especially my sides. If I don't exercise restraint, I start flailing my arms wildly. And yes, I have slapped a guy once. He could laugh it off.

Anyway. In my experience, it's possible to become desensitised if you take time. With light touches, my reflex becomes less and in the end goes away. If you're extremely ticklish, you might want to have your bf simply place a hand on your least ticklish spot. He can then slowly move on to more ticklish bits. He should go slow, but not withdraw immediately when he tickles you. I don't know if you've tried tongue or (buttrerfly) kisses on the ticklish areas, but I find a guy's tongue much less tickle-inducing than his hands.

Just a few ideas that worked for me. Your mileage, of course, may vary. :)

I am ticklish too, if you touch me in the wrong places I will be laughing and rolling around on the floor.

It can be really fun.

If you really hate it just let him know where you are ticklish and go slowly.

hey guys,
thanks for your advice. I'll try out your techniques, Treanir. I don't understand how going slowly will help out, though...

Oh, and Asian87, yes, I am skinny. I don't see how that's related, though...

I think it's a desensitization thing. Can't explain it otherwise, but it worked for me. Worth giving a try, I say. :)

I'm even more ticklish at my ribs and other places you can feel my bones. That what made me thought that the thinner you are, the less fat between the skin and nerves... and the more ticklish you are.

My boyfriend has the same problem. His feet are insanely ticklish, and I have a huge foot fetish! I love rubbing and licking his feet, sucking his toes, and so on but it drives him crazy! I find that starting with a firm massage, using my whole hand and instead of fingertips, helps relax him and get used to being touched on his feet. A couple drinks also helps... Still he's ticklish as hell, but he's able to grin and bear it better.

I used to be really ticklish, but now i'm too used to my bf. My stomach is still a bit ticklish, so he knows how to tease me (a bit too much).
