i really really love corpse bride and the nightmare before christmas .
i think johnny depp is his muse dont you think?with all his right i think.

and all his movies have a very unique atmosphere.

Planet of the Apes remake was sub-genius by any standards.

^^^ Yeah planet of the apes was by far his least good film. But, I thought his style was overridden by Fox's determination to make a profit, so he's still one of my favourite directors.

ok, planet of the apes is excluded, it was not so good and i didnt watch it because it wasnt tim burton style at all. the rest of the movies however are terrific, fantastic, magnificent!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Terry Gilliam is another director that has a unique style. When I watch a movie by either of these two, I know it is from them.

Corpse Bride felt like a revisit into the world of Nightmare that he created, so it didn't impress me, but it was still good enough.

NBC is one of my favorites, along with Batman Returns.

.. Virtually every movie Burton has made- Elfmann has done the soundtrack..

He is a good composer but I doubt he'll be involved in Sweeney Todd as obviously Sondheim composed the music.

personally, i can't wait until burton's next few projects hit the theatres. first, the movie musical of sweeney todd and then the cinematic remake of the cabinet of dr. caligari. both of them seem like perfect projects for burton to take on--darkly humorous and depressing.

As I keep saying he's currently working on a big screen adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical Sweeney Todd. The cast start recording the score in November and filming starts in February next year.
