If you want to see what the traditional UK xmas was like, this is what you were missing.
Although in real life the arguing was less pleasant when you can't switch it off like you can a TV.
Half the audience liked the show because Warren Mitchell was making racist bigots look as stupid as they are.
The other half identified with the part and saw themselves justified onscreen, which is the danger when a parody is too close to the truth.
