The guy that I'm trying to win over comes home from Cincy on Monday. So I did some investigating and found out his favorite wine and I know that he's really been wanting that book "A Wolf At The Table". So I decided to get those for him.

Ok so i'm on my way home from work tonight, I opted to walk today. Its about a 3-4 mile walk, and I decide to take a "short cut" to go to the store. I ended up in god knows where land. I was totally lost and it started POURING. It took me four hours to get home tonight. But I got the book, and the wine, and managed to keep them both dry.

So even though I had to go to hell and back to get them, I am very excited to give them to him. The book looks like it is going to be really good. I started reading it and I think I am going to try to finish it before he gets home, if I can do it without leaving finger prints or anything on the pages.
 
Sounds like you've found a good man, Jason. Do you plan on telling him how much you went thru to get these things for him?

it was entertaining to try to find this wine though, i don't drink. so i had one person on the phone telling me where to look and one of the people that worked at the store looking and i was pronouncing it wrong. so i confused the hell out of everybody.....

Well, let him have fun with what you've done. I was just thinking that after the "deed is done" and he's expressed his gratitude, then maybe you might enlighten him as to your little ordeal. :lol:
