At the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy is an immense Black Hole called Sagittarius A*
Goddard scientists created this visualization using the Discover Supercomputer at the NASA Center for Climate Simulation.
Here is a simulation of a robot camera ship plunging into Sagittarius A* - a one-way journey like no other.

 
Dutch Science fiction author Tais Teng called it 'galaXenter' (not sure if it was spelled that way in his storybook Cepheïde but the X replacing the c was definitely there).

That's a better name than calling it by the constellation it appears in from Earth. Wonder if every galaxy has a black hole at the center?
