Tom of Finland Film Gets a Director

The upcoming film will be the Finnish director's first English-language film.

Production company Helsinki-filmi has now announced that Dome Karukoski is now attached as director of TOM the Movie, the authorized biopic of Finnish artist Touko Laaksonen (1920–1991), the man better known as Tom of Finland.

Casting is expected to be announced early 2014.

Teaser 2 looks like it was directed by Chi Chi LaRue. I love Tom of Finland but his vision of 'butch' men does not have an action sequence with a pose and smile. For me the film will have to reek of testoserone, leather, sex smell still lingering on a holstered dick. I hope it works. I want it to.
 
Both teaser and trailer do not look very promising. Maybe it's written well enough to make up for that?
 
I like the erotic artwork that Tom Of Finland made. Though I am not sure any man could match the physical perfection of the drawings.
